Heath Robinson's Chiesel RDWC

I've now had a few grows go through my RDWC system and looking after it is becoming less of a chore. I have just popped a Chiesel from Heath Robinson into flower. She has sat in veg for a good 5 weeks and sits at 28" now she's in the flower room. She's on Ionic grow nutes at EC 1.0 and pH 5.5 at the moment. Two weeks and I will connect her to the main rez with Canna flower nutes at EC 1.2.

Just realised I've only got a pic of the tank awaiting the arrival of the Chiesel. Whoops!

So tomorrow is 14 days into 12/12. Yesterday trimmed her hard taking all the weak growth from the inside allowing much better air circulation and more energy to be put into the main colas. Moves on to flower nutes tomorrow (ish!) lol

Changed her over to flower nutes last night, so she's on the same rez as my Bubblegummer. Think she's stopped stretching, but I'll measure up this weekend to confirm.

Hey AshitMyself. Going on other peoples experience I've done this previously. The idea being that energy is not wasted on small popcorn growth where the light doesn't penetrate so well and it goes into producing bigger main colas. I've trimmed this one harder than I have in the past to see if it does make larger colas. I've been pleased with the result on the V3 I did last, but it still had scrappy bits of bud. I'd rather have bigger buds to manicure than lots of little ones. I find the trimming process very time consuming.

Where can you get heath robinson seeds? Ive been looking for a seedbank that sells them.

Hi _HK_. The seedbank that sold Heath's seeds (Highlife seeds) cessed trading about 18 months ago if I recall. Apparently Heath is still about, but not active on the forums. He has had long periods away from the forums in the past so I have no idea if he will make a comeback. I hope he does, I always enjoyed reading his threads and when I found his strains were available I was all over it lol

How do you like the ionic ? Compared to other nutes?
I remember looking through Heaths posts, and always noting he used ionic nutes. massive buds, and such little hassle/few bottles with nutes, sounds like a growers paradise.

I hope Heath makes a big comeback in 2014, and we can all get to sample his genetics. Been after em a long time.

Pic from last night minutes before lights on. Just about to hit the third week of 12/12 and she's starting to flower up nicely. Still hasn't finished stretching though. She's a few inches off of touching the ceiling.

DHF has previously said that Heath has retired from the forums, which is a shame. It would be a amazing if he did check in once in a while.

Thanks Pophamseasmoke. I've had a couple of grows in this system now. As it stands, this is the biggest plant so far. She stands at 170cm (~67") as of last night. I have a feeling she'll be touching the ceiling before the end of the week.
