Lol my first computer was a compaq presario, it had 266mhz and 4mb ram i think... (and it could load these pics)..HAHAH jk.

The new mac pro's are pretty sick, but its essentially a $2000 facebook machine for most. Overpriced for the performance that you recieve.

I threw that profile in a nutrient profile calculator and it didnt end up 1-1-2. Not sure if i did it right, but the profile the hobby shit came out to is actually 3-1-5. All of this shit is like the same. High in N and K. I may just grow tomatoes

I should have posted these before when I was talking about the plant magic nutes.

This is headband by Reserva Privada. Nice plant, but nitrogen sensitive.

Look at the fan leaf which is pointing upward. See the tip of it curling. That plant showed it was a low feeder in veg.

In flower I was using Hesi's bloom 8-6-10 feed. That was a 1-part nutrient which people would use right through veg and flower.

I changed the feed as soon as the tips clawed and before it got tip burn, and before the buds had set, so they weren't affected. The new growth was ok after that and the buds grew nicely. All I did was swap some of the base feed for some pk booster. That's all I did.

This is what happens when you don't catch it. It's a more stark example of what a nitrogen excess looks like, even when it doesn't get to the stage where it's burning your plants.

Look at the leaf development. That's a plant which is being fed something which is prompting it to put out thick foliage at the expense of bud.

This is the same strain when it's grown with a different formula

Now you've got nice big calyxes which aren't overpowered by leaf.

Leaf should take a back seat when the plant's in full bloom. When you see plants with thick green foliage, that's too much N.

Playin around with some micro/bloom formulas/ modified h3ad recipe...

4ml Micro and 10ml Bloom creates this profile:

N - P - K - Mg- S - Ca
64-70-112-50-30-64

Pretty close to 1-1-2, Coco's inherent properties could make up for the small K gap.

I have a FUCK load of micro and bloom at my other spot, Im trying to decide if i wanna can the jacks, and move in a different direction.

Ive used the micro/bloom combo before a couple times, but after using the GH products for a while i found floranova to be easier but if you already have them you might as well use them

When you place an order, they automatically put you on their mailing list. I received a bright pink catalog that said HYDRO-GARDENS in bold print on the front. When I called to have myself removed from their mailing list, the woman who answered actually argued with me and told me about how they are a legitimate company and I must have placed an order if I was on their mailing list. I cut to the chase and let her know that I live in a state with medical marijuana legislation and I don't want to be associated with hydroponic gardens and have my house robbed.

Needless to say the packaging isn't discreet either. I'll never order from that company again.

With elevated Co2, if I recall right, water use efficiency generally increases significantly. I think there is a copy of a scientific study on cannabis linked on this site somewhere that shows that. I make the uneducated assumption based on that that elevated Co2 environment all else equal would mean the plants would prefer somewhat higher EC nutrient concentration than at natural Co2 levels.

Also have always assumed (no real facts to base this on) that the best EC depends on vapor pressure deficit so what works best can really vary from one to another. Since plants drink a lot more water for the same amount of growth when the VPD is high... (hot, low humidity) a lower EC in a high VPD environment or higher EC in a low VPD environment makes sense.

Do either of these views make sense to yall? Wondering if I'm off base here. I know practically nothing about botany

I recently just set up a 6k sealed flip flop w/ co2 for a buddy. Not my place to post or talk about his place which is why I havent, but even with the SUPER dry air out here it was a breeze to get the room dialed(environment wise, the grow is his shit). Granted, on someone elses budget you can oversize everything, and leave no expenses spared...

Im not sure what your situation was, and I'm certainly not questioning your abilities...In fact, I was lurking in your thread most until Poof.. Just wondering what the underlying reasons were.

Well Bobbles....Being that you`re a caregiver and STILL haveta be security conscious due to as you said "robbery possibilities" , I would`ve thought that you`d employed a buffer system to drop ship ALL your supplies if ordered online to a "mail drop" or non-associated addy for protection from ANY such occurrence possibilities.....

First time I ordered a pallet of carbonaire scrubbers and vortex fan combo`s from plantlightinghydroponics.com back in the day , they came unwrapped and every box was plainly enblazened what the contents were ALL over every box , but I had the foresight and ability through an old friend that had a landscaping and nursery supply co to have the shit shipped there in Hell......now.....

Regardless of whether or not you decided to "never' order from that co again , I STILL stand by said co since they control most of the dry-fert biz in hydroponic veggie gardening and DEFINITELY have the cheapest prices known to God and man , but as stated above , they sell in bulk and most folks NOT croppin just don`t need that much at one time....anyways.....

There are some strange fucking birds over at PLH.com. Im not sure if they just like to cheap out on shipping supplies or what, but I've had shit come with packaging on 5 of the 6 sides of the cube, with just clear tape covering the remaining side(This has happened 3x now)...Also allowing contents to be clearly seen.

Similarly, when I got my pallet, they wrapped it, in black plastic..except for the top which had 32 1000w horticutlure bulbs sitting on the top. HMM. So when the cock sucker ups prick who cant figure out how to do his job in an orderly fashion goes to close his tail gate after dropping my shit, welp now he knows theres a grow op.

I have complained to them before, and now they changed the return address from Aladdin lights to their shipping managers name, and continuted to send 5 sided boxes. What the fuck.

When it comes to security tho, its about the layers.

Well damn.....I never had any trouble outta plh after crawlin that ass the FIRST time , but EVERY order I made for the next several yrs till shutdown was placed by phone and not online , so I suppose reminding em of "stealth shipping" with every order placed worked in my favor ....

Can`t believe they`re still fuckin shipments up with as much dope growin business as they provide supplies for , but dumbasses paid minimum wages in the shipping dept come to mind as repeat offenders....dunno....now....

When I set up a location for production , the FIRST thing I did was surround the whole fuckin property in chain link fence and install 1 of my pitbulls from the farm to patrol said residence in my absence , and....

I STILL got hit by tweakers at 1 of my spots I`d just finished harveyin the week before , but it was cuz they`d been hittin the neighborhood in general and NEVER knew there was such shenanigans goin on in the basement until they moved the ONLY thing in the house.....

Fridge that held all my seedstock from yrs of gifts and collecting , and that exposed the cubby hole access to the grow areas , and they had a field day.....

Got 2 rooms full of equipment plus buncha cuts rootin , cuz the second room wasn`t gonna be filled for another month due to perpetual setups a month apart in age , so how did the muthafuckers get in ?....

The ONLY place the dawg couldn`t get to em , the driveway that rolled right up to 2 garage doors and a steel entry door in the middle , and believe me the dawg was doin his job cuz neighbors came out and SAW the crack monkies as they politely backed a van up to the garage and had the BALLS ta tell neighbors they were there ta work on the house.....

Neighbors went BACK in their house and the fucks proceeded to use a crowbar and pry the door open to gain entry , and then what happened ?....The silent alarm went off and alerted my cell phone INSTEAD of the option I chose NOT to use as in callin popo , .....so....

As fast as my old ass could get there and secure the scene , I did....Cleaned up ALL debris and covered up the cubbyhole access with painters dropcloths cuz I WAS remodelin said home WHILE I grew my ass off , and then I called the cops to file an insurance and incident report.....

They came and neighbors walked out and asked wtf was up , and they bout shit when I told em cuz they WITNESSED the whole thing and let it slide.......needless to say I fixed that 1 and put it back on the market for sale and moved onto the next foreclosure waaaay cross town.....moral to the story.....

Never say never , cuz shit can happen when yas least expect it , so tryta be prepared in advance without showin your hand or slingin yer dick on the choppin block....now.....

Thats funny because its pretty humid here with lots of PM....I was pushing over 80wpsf in that environment with a big old ac that was constantly pulling the humidity...

Whether or not I was growing at the house is irrelevant. Receiving mail related to growing makes that spot a target. When I called to have myself removed from the mailing list I didn't sign up for, they argued with me. What kind of business model is that? I wasn't angry, I just asked to be taken off the mailing list. If the customer service is that bad, I don't want to see what happens when I have a problem that is going to cost them money.

I placed an order... which happened to be for CaCl2, paid freight shipping, and I received a bag of SNOW MELT. I about shit myself. If I had known that's all it was I could have used the bag I had in my basement already. I could have gone to the the gas station across the street and picked up a bag and carried it home. I felt deceived, but it was my error, and I took it as a lesson. Months later I receive a shiny pink HYDRO GARDENS catalog to let everyone know about my hydroponic (organic peat) gardens? and then argue with me? "well I assure you we are a legitimate company and have been around since bla bla bla" Like I didn't know they were legitimate after I gave them my money and they gave me rock salt for my sidewalk that can also be used as a plant fertilizer. Thank you.



I've dealt with many companies.... even told a few that I grow cannabis. I almost always get better service than I did with hydro gardens. That's all I have to say.
