hey ChroniCDoom for what it's worth I don't like to take the chance of any transplant shock with autoflowers. so instead of starting them in your nice small square pots next time consider going old school and buy some jiffy-pots or jiffy-cocopots like your grandpappy woulda done. you plant the jiffy-pot container and all as soon as you see some roots come through the bottom/sides

here's a link I am sure you have seen them 100 times http://www.jiffygroup.com/jiffy/catalogue/jiffypot.html

P.S. super 1st grow, may you have many more

Thanks Stonedar! So far that is my only regret! I will definitely take that into consideration or I will plant germinated seed into final pot next time. Which may be in a week or two. I have space for 6 plants. So since I need to transplant these autos you have any advice to ease the shock? I am using the recipe for success kit by technaflora. It has some stuff called thrive alive b-1 red and b-1 green. I have already sprayed the b1 green on to foliage to promote root growth. I will use the red when time to transplant. Supposed to help with the shock of transplanting. Any advice for me on autos will be greatly appreciated! Does transplanting autos shock them more than non autos? Great now I have something else to worry about! LOL thanks for checking it out!

Looking and smelling great!

Looking and smelling great!

Its been a few days since my last post, and they are looking great and smelling great! Will be transplanting in a couple days. Is it best to transplant them when soil is dry or wet? Gave them a little water today also. Enjoy the new pics and thanks for following!

Looking good man! :good: My soil recipe uses Fox Farm products and I still feed nutes along with nutrients found in the soil. I have no experience with Technaflora, but I can say in my limited experience N toxicity has been an issue for me. I am figuring its due to the additional earthworm castings I add along with the N already found in FF products. Some good advice I was told was let your ladies tell you what they need. I tried to feed off the schedule from the company and I ended up with N toxicity real quick! Pick up some Blackstrap Mollasses and mix 1 tblspn per gal, its rich in Fe and Mg and will "feed" the soil basically. I do this every other watering after seedling stage until final flush. For posting pics if you create an album you can put up to 26 pics in better resolution in your post. Transplant when they are dry, it will be eaiser. Since I get cheapo pots I just cut the pot, makes it easy. Good luck bro!

Right on! Thanks for the info, I think I will add the molasses to my grow. I checked out your first grow. Killer job!

All 3 are female

All 3 are female

I now know for sure they are all female. Got home from work checked them out, and they are all showing pistils. I was surprised to see the pistils. Thought it would be another week or so for that. These autos grow fast! Monday will be three weeks since germination. Still no nutes but a foliage spray of some b1. I will be watering with a mix of sugardaddy and root66 immediately after transplanting as per my recipe for success. Wondering how long after transplanting do I start feeding the nutes for the vegetative stage? How long do I keep feeding these autos the grow nutes before switching to bloom nutes? I will be transplanting tonight and also switching the light to 20/4. Been on 24/7 so far. Should I keep the light on 24/7 for a couple more weeks and then switch to 20/4 for flowering. Is it even going to matter since they are autos? Trying to figure out when to use nutes for veg and flowering stages of autos. Thanks for any info and advice! Tried to get a few pics of the pistils but couldn't. Will post some new pics tomorrow!

Thanks for the good word bro! :tiphat: Good luck with the auto's...sounds like it could get a bit tricky switching nutes around.

New pics after transplant

New pics after transplant

HigH people. Finally able to take some pics and sit down and relax. Had a pretty good weekend watching some UFC and NFL. Also had to send off my info to renew my MMJ authorization which is exempt in a few weeks. Well saturday night I transplanted them, and I also have them on the timer. 20/4 light schedule now. I was asking a few questions about switching the light schedule for autos. Thanks for all the replies and info everyone! One good piece of info I did read was the joint dr's grow guide for autos. I read that awhile back and forgot about it like a stoner. That has some good info for growing autos. Anyway they seem to be doing fine after the transplant. At least this rookie cant see any signs that they are shocked. Anything special I should be looking for? Pretty sure tomorrow after work I will be giving them their first feeding. They should be pretty thirsty by then. Gonna go with a qrtr strength on all nutes, and see what happens.I took a bunch of new pics tonight and a few I was able to get some close-ups of the pistils. I did that by putting a magnifying glass in front of the lens. Worked out alright in a few pics. Enjoy, thanks for following, and let me know what you think!

Quick update

Quick update

HigH everyone. Well I have been really busy haven't been able to make any updates lately. I will post some pics hopefully later today or tomorrow for sure! Well all three young ladies are just about a month old. The 6th will be one month. I gave them their first feeding four days ago. I fed them at half the recommended strength. Have not noticed anything wrong they look really healthy. Today when I get home from work I will be watering with some molasses. Pretty sure it is 1 tablespoon per gallon of water. They should be really thirsty by the time I get home. Like I said they look really healthy one of the onyx has come from behind and is now the tallest of the three plants at about 9" tall. Who knows that could change by the time I get home from work. There are lots of pistils on all the plants. Well time to get back to work. I will make another post today or tomorrow with some good pics! Thanks for following.

New pics

I gave them some water today and molasses for the first time. I was told in an earlier post to water every other watering with molasses. Does that include adding molasses on the day I feed them nutes also? So today I watered with molasses next time will be with plain ph'd water then the next time will be with nutes. They are looking really good to me and smell great. I was wondering if it is alright to move some of those bigger leaves out of the way and let some light to some underneath foliage. Hope so because I did in a couple spots where they were totally covering some pistils. Well wednesday will be a month since they were germinated. Gotta go for now time for dinner enjoy the pics and thanks for checking out my first grow!

Anyone using molasses or have used it? I'm wondering if you water with molasses every watering or is it every other watering? I would think every other watering. If you use molasses every other watering, do you add molasses to your nutes also? I would think not. Not sure though. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

I use blackstrap molasses pretty much every watering, my ladies seem to like it.

yellow tips

yellow tips

I was checking out the girls today and noticed on the easyryder that a couple leaves have turned yellow at the very tip of the leaf. These leaves are on the top of the plant coming out of what is the main cola. I tried to take a few pics hopefully someone can make out what I am talking about. I have only seen it on the one plant so far. It's something I will monitor. Thanks for any info anyone has !
