I watched Somm a couple of nights ago. It was pretty decent, but I don't really care too much about wine to that degree. I kept thinking how freakin obsessed they were with the subject.... damn, man, in my opinion variety is the spice of life. Was still worth a watch though, just to know how expert people can be about different wines and everything surrounding them.

I can totally taste if I'm drinking a red or white wine. Lol. I'm more of a beer guy. It was funny seeing how deep people can get in a certain field of study. I know what it's like to study to the point of obsession like that. I just don't think I can taste well enough to identify hundreds of nuances in a particular glass of wine.

I also couldn't see potheads putting other potheads through a Master Stoner exam for days at a time. I know a lot about weed, but I'm not studying flash cards or anything.

Just finished watching the Boardwalk Empire finale. Can't believe they killed Richard.
I think this series was pretty lame. I'm actually annoyed that Richard is dead and Narcisse is alive. Chalky is gonna be raging next series methinks.
The fight between Eli and the Feeb dweeb was brilliantly done.

Colby Fire

There is a fire on the news.

Very near where I go gold prospecting in the summer.

It is in Glendora, Ca USA

The last fire in the canyon burned 250 sq. miles.

It looks like the Fire Dept is doing pretty well. They were ready.

Peace :dance013:

Dinotasia....on Netflix. Pretty cool animated story about dinosaurs and the different eras they shook the ground during. Animation is pretty good, except when they show the dinosaurs trying to move fast or run...didn't look good at all.

Best part was when a big ass Brontosaurus spotted some amanita muscaria and eats a couple. Big Dino was then shown tripping, all wavy like psilocybens do to ya...he was getting super interested by wagging his tail around. The he gets attacked by 2 big raptors, maybe T-Rex's, all while his vision and mind is very fucked.

It's worth watching it just for that one scene. I can just imagine all these little young kids watching it on the couch with mom and dad right there, and asking what happened to Dino's eyes!

It's narrated by Werner Herzog, and he has a pretty strange sounding voice, has a strong german accent, and strange delivery. That's good too.

Here's a clip:

Enough Said, Gandolfini's last movie. Was pretty good... Lowkey, sweet, funny. Tonight I'm going to watch All is Lost with Robert Redford or the 2nd half of Her with Jaquin Phoenix. Her is SO FREAKING GOOD but, it's a lot to take in so I'm watching it in two parts.

She has got to be one of the 1 million most sexiest women on earth. And that's saying something.

Hey Wiggs, which TR book do you think would make the best movie? Right now I'm thinking Villa Incognito..

Hey Furry...

I would have a really hard time deciding which book would make the best movie. All his books are at least great, Villa Incognito would make a fantastic movie for sure. I believe TR has stated that his books are not the easiest to translate into film, I forget what reason he said...something about his plots maybe? I recently re-read Villa, Switters and that bald parrot.... what a pair.

Another Roadside Attraction would be very controversial with the body of Jesus getting stolen and such. Maybe Skinny Legs and All would be a good one today, what with the jewish fellow and the muslim guy becoming partners in a restaurant....

ACK! Any of his books being made into a movie would get me excited. Only thing I would want to insist on....Scarlett Johansson would have to play a part in it. :)
