Hey Sg I wanted to show you the progress on the Dionysus #1. Its so great man. I think this is the best that I have ever grown her and she is really showing it all for me. The smell has that normal Dion grapey/musty smell to her, but with a hint of chocolate.. like hot fudge. first time that I've ever gotten that from her. She continuous to impress me on the regular.

Thanks for all you have done!

Site seems slow, know it's the off season for some of us. Know our southern hemisphere brethren are getting in the middle of it right now.

In the spirit of community, knowledge, and growth let's all break out of our normal paths and ventures. Let's comment question and spread advice where we normally wouldn't. Have two-thousand posts, but never introduced yourself? Normally use nutes and check your ppm go find some organic guys (cough cough, uhm hum) and find out about R.O.L.S. or the difference between ACT and vermitea. You only do sog grows of a indica dominate hybrid check out some sativa threads. Why use both mh and hps? Bokashi composting, no not bukake. Pvc and butane are malicious...?

Spread the good word. Start some more vegetables, you're already growing. Raise a couple chickens. Don't feed the beast and we'll win this war with our minds instead of with violence. Moderate moderation and love living it.

How about it? What say thee?

I got 3 GQ seeds pulled out of the glass of water and pushed into some moist ProMix. 2 of the GQ based on the seed chart should be female. The third GQ may be female but I couldn't get a good look at the end of it.

I've got a Noctural seed to pop and it was put into moist ProMix and it should be female according to the seed chart.

None of my GQ's seeds looked round at all... I picked the best most uniform caldera, and got a girl....

I found that by soaking them and then getting out my magnifying glass it was easier to determine the shape of the caldera. It looked to me like the caldera edges swelled just a little bit.

Hi SeafOur and thanks for directing me to this thread on organics. So here is the question I have. I have been doing compost teas, organic with bat, bird, humix, fulvix, compost and molasses once a week. Mid week I am using Humbolt Organics Amino Acid Chelated Master A & B since it is the only "soup style" of commercially made nutrients that is not using the EDTA process of synthetically chelating the nutrients.

So the question is this. The soil is getting the tea it likes and the beneficials are hopefully happy. I have been told, possibly incorrectly, that the over the counter "soup style" nutrients are hurting the beneficials that I am trying to grow in the soil by using the tea. Can I get your input on this?

Not exactly a "organic" thread specifically... we're showing off very particular plants here, but organic talk isn't persecuted here LOL... I tend to agree that most chemical agents added to the soil will be detrimental to soil life. I dont have experience with that particular brand, but I know that with quality starting materials, your soil should have everything the plant needs available... as opposed to only having what you put on it.... My grow has a lawn however.... I like bugs, and I both buy them online, and bring in random leaf litter from outside.... I personally wouldnt treat my insects so bad as to cover them in chems... again.. dont know about the humboldt..... they say,

1-5-6 Humboldt Nutrients Master A&B is a premium two-part fertilizer program designed for all plants made with non-toxic high quality ingredients.Humboldt Nutrients has formulated this vigorous 2-part nutrient solution for use on any plant in any growing medium and contains no EDTA’s.The Humboldt Nutrients team of chemists and agronomists emphasize balance and consistency with all our formulas. Master A&B is formulated to provide your favorite plants with higher absorption of nutrients vitamins minerals and trace elements. The Master A&B series stands apart from your standard base nutrient line by making macro and micro nutrients more available to your plant.Used in conjunction with Humboldt Nutrients powerful additives we assure that your yields and quality will increase so dramatically that your friends will call you simply “The Master.”DIRECTIONS:Use 1:1 Ratio with Master A&B as a two-part Base Bloom Nutrient. Adjust PPM higher in later stages of the bloom cycle to desired strength.DERIVED FROM:Derived From: Ammonium Nitrate Potassium Nitrate Calcium Nitrate Sodium Molybdate Calcium Carbonate Sodium Borate Iron Zinc Manganese Boron and Molybendum.

the sodium bothers me.... especially long term in a recycled soil.....

just my thoughts

Any sodium build up over time will kill the micro herd that you're trying to encourage. I think it is a losing attempt over time to mix organics with stuff coming out of a bottle. There are a few exceptions. But I'd avoid bottled products if you're going organic.

I have ordered those cheap loupes before, but not from them. Don't waste your money. I used to collect coins in the old days, and that is a standard in that hobby, like a spoon is to eating.

I have a digital microscope that connects up to my computer that is working great. Are you planning to use the loupe in the field or at your desk? What power are you looking for? I may be able to steer you in the right direction. If you want a cheap one, I have several here. I will send you one.
