Need help picking commercial strain!

Hello gentlemen. I'm an experienced grower, but starting completely from scratch on a new 4kW medical grow. I've been puttering along for a few years, slowly building up equipment and skills, and now it's time to get serious about getting those bills paid. The goal here is to make as much money as possible in a short period of time; i.e. one cycle from seed, with 30 day veg.

I already have seeds for Sweet Tooth #3 F2, Moonshine Haze, and a Dago Walker cross which ought to be excellent. I'm hoping ICMag can come through with solid suggestions for one more killer strain to add to this list.

What I really need is something similar to my old Bubblegum cut, which was super dense and frosty with good yield, and the dispensaries would gladly take as much as I could bring them. Would like to see a high degree of uniformity among the plants, and a flowering time under 10 weeks, 12 tops.

So if you had to buy ONE strain, that is guaranteed to sell out quick any time it comes around, make mouths water every time the jar is opened, and will make my garden a commercial success........what would it be?

Blue strains vanish as quick as the flash before a paternity test around my area....especially blue dream it will get pretty big if you let it..

i'd say take a trip to some dispensaries and see what they have on the shelves. it's different for every area. right now any girl scout cookies and her crosses are really big, along with super potent OG's like Fire OG and WiFi (wifi may be out of favor in cali, i live in oregon). I've also seen some platinum strains going around (plat bubba and plat og kush) that sell like hot cakes.

hope this helps and good luck.

If this is a medical grow, i would suggest doing exactly what lifetime says. go around and look around and see what the trends are. i would rather grow a "in" strain in my local area that fetches a better donation a pack than a commersh strain.

With respect to all, let's keep this thread on topic please. Clones are out of the question, due to circumstances. This grow will be from seed, and I'm not interested in growing the same old shit that every other local is growing. I don't need any advice on where to go to find info. I'm asking this question here because I believe here is the best place to find the answers.

The question I'm asking is: what one killer strain would YOU recommend, based on your own first hand experience, or the real world experiences of others?

Thank you Yort, I will look into those two. Any idea where to get the Master Kush?

Dude... no one will tell u this or talk about it much but Nirvana is solid. There pplower plant and bubblugum are rock hard dense, grow out the pack.... I always got good results using only 4-6 beans and i can get a keeper basically.

They have ur bubblugum also

Nirvana been arround basically long as anyone.

Not sure how commercial it is but I think C99 or a cross thereof that suits your fancy would be in order.

She's a fast flowering gal (50-55 days typically) that pack a punch and with the right pheno she throw on some decent weight.

I would say Nirvana ak48.
Big strong plants, heavy yeilders and a killer smoke. I have bought like 10 packs of the ak48 and always been happy whit the outcome, not hard to finde a keeper!

Glad I stopped in here as I was just about to start a very similar thread. I've been reading for weeks and have come across a few strains that seem to balance the heavy yield and potency. Taskenti from CBG is getting a lot of buzz, its a pure indica with some sativa growth characteristics and apparently packs a punch. I've been curious if anyone on here has experience with that, or with Barney's Farm Critical Kush? They're advertising 750 g/m2 and 25% thc..... seems hard to pass up but this could just be more marketing lies

Barney's Farm are scam artists.

So you want uniformity, large yields and a good buzz.... You're not going to get that with one of these F1 pollen chucks where each plant looks differently.

S@nnie's Jack is something you should look into. He's taken Jack Herer to an F8 so it'll be stable and uniform. 10-13 week flower time but it'll make up for it in yield. You could run it with little to no veg, too. And every one loves smoking Jack!

I was trying to figure out what the best strictly commercial strain(s) are currently. Seems like Dinafem's Critical + has the best potency/bag appeal among the mega yielders. The Critical Jack is supposed to be even better, but takes an extra 10 days to finish.

If you're looking to boost profits, why bother growing from seed every time? And why use a 30 day veg?

Keep a mother, put the clones straight into flower with no veg time. You're wasting flowering space and electricity by vegging. Use plant numbers in a sea of green to make up for the lack of veg.

You should grow what you like to smoke first off.
For a lot of people, they can't pick and choose what they smoke. We almost never got strain names when I lived IL. One guy in a neighbor county grew this stuff he called "Godzilla" and we paid $80 an eighth for it. It was A+++ bud though, one rip and you were baked for hours.

Try to take those g/m2 figures the breeders list with a grain of salt. For one thing, 750 is absurdly high. Only way anyone is pulling that off is with a vertical stadium hydro.

Barney's Farm is also somewhat notorious for having unstable genetics. You might have to grow out 20-30 feminized seeds to find a keeper.

Most of the Tangerine Dream bud shots I've seen online looked like mids, and that's supposed to have 25% thc too.

Dank Frank, I don't need any sarcasm. I'm not confused at all. Perhaps you are confused.

Thank you for everyone else who have posted and contributed to this thread. My plans have shifted a bit due to circumstances; going to be doing it big outdoors this year. Looking to guerrilla grow with 100+ clones. For strains I have picked Sweet Tooth #3, Sour Boggle, and Sour Lifesaver. Can't wait to get started.
