I was wondering instead of expanding from 1,200 watts to 2,000 watts in a vertical donut (to make the donut bigger mainly for bigger yields using same # of plants and longer veg times) - the main criteria was no cooltubes or obstructing hangers/fixtures and for the plants to get as much direct light as possible.
Also wanted about 15-20% blue (I wonder how much % in blue a newer "blue enhanced" hps bulb puts out) so a 3rd bulb could be geared to that blue spectrum (like MH or induction, even ceramic light). Since it's a triple stacked bulb donut, you can have 6-7 foot tall plants with 600 watt lights and a huge canopy for getting buds.
Not only taller, but wider plants too as the donut using the 50 watts/sq ft rule could now be 36 sq ft instead of 24 or 50% bigger area.
