I have read on another forum a great tutorial on the 4 way LST technique, however I have not been able to find any information on this ICmag forum which I prefer. Wondering why? Anyone use this technique? Seems really good for scrogging from seed. Please share any experience including pictures if you would be so kind.

Thanks!@

Good evening.
I'll have to dig up some photos from n old site.
But I use to do this when running 2 plants in a 2x4.
2 18gal tote ebb system. Fill the tent wall to wall
I didn't run a screen then but was able to create an even hedge.

I supper crop mostly now lotta pinching n bending not so much tying down.
Hope this helps some.

Found it....yes..topping to four mains or more. Can only be done with seedlings or clone from main! I may try it sometime to compare yield and it looks easier than lst!

4 way!

4 way!

Hello IC, sorry for the delay. It took a little longer than I thought it would but here it is....

I topped the plants at the 5th node on Jan. 9th. then left them to grow until tonight. Tonight I trimmed the 2nd nodes out which left only the 3rd and 4th nodes (the first node is just the cotyledon by my reckoning my apologies if I am incorrect on this). Then I tied the 3rd and 4th nodes down (LST). Here are pictures before and after tie down with a close up of where I topped.

As you can see in the third pic. I have a wide spread plant, hopefully all of those nodes will grow at a similar rate which will put out a ton of tops for my scrog. After a week or two I may top each of these four tops to produce 8 tops. I may just flip before then though I am still undecided. I also really have no idea if doing this is even worth while as I am quite the novice grower.... It just looked really cool when I was doing research for my grow. I'll post up again when the plants settle into the LST.

I am running them all in individual dwc buckets right now. I have been kinds up and down as far as the health and vigor. Still getting a few random problems that I don't fully understand but I feel like I am starting to get things dialed and under control. I am using the GH flora bloom and micro at 6 ml and 4 ml per gallon. Puts me at about 500-550 ppm on 500 scale. I think the plants could take more but I am gathering data still.

Thats crazy, none of my plants like anything over 300ppm on a 500 scale. I wanna try some floraseries.

Well I only put the ppm up to 500 in the past 5 days. Before that I was closer to 350. I think it is all about the roots. When I get the roots happy the plants do better. That has been my biggest challenge thus far though. I tried to follow Snypes methods but I didn't ever really get the hang of the Ebb and Flow system. I hope to improve a lot when I gain some experience with this particular plants and work with some clones.
