I woke up this morning to -26F and it never got above 0F all day. At one point the wind died down and it wasn't too bad out but that didn't last long. The forecast says more of the same for the next week with the exception of Friday which should be in the mid 20s.

0F w/a 5mph wind = -11F windchill factor.......

This is the first tree I see when walking out my front door, it's at the head of my driveway, frosted w/snow many many weeks on end. My 3 acres has Norway, white, spruce and cedar pine on it, all tall mature trees; all of them look nice but in the winter it's a bit more pleasing to the eye, from different angles some look like Christmas card scenes.

Then the snow gets so damned deep I can hardly get around out there, we got about 3 feet on the ground now, snowmobilers are diggin' it hard.......

yeah, only -1F but the winds blowing hard, both dogs go out, pee & poop within a minute or two at most, both want to come inside but I always toss a couple of frisbees for Alice, she digs it & it keeps her young.

EDIT:
Dang!!! -10F w/20mph winds = -31F & that's @ high noon, temps gonna drop to -25F tonight

I love the woods in the winter when the trees are frosted up or fresh after a snow fall. That's a nice pine S4L. I like them when they have some abnormalities. Tomorrow I'll have to try to get a pick of my favorite Norway Pine in my yard.

-24F & the wind is howling, when it sweeps across the roof of my house it blows enough snow off of it to make a mini snow storm, Alice was out there wizzing when a huge gust of wind covered her head to tail w/snow from the roof.

windchill values are @ -50F right now.......

had to go to the store tonight, my dashboard indicator & bank clock appeared synchronized @ -21F, the wind was blowing an easy 10mph making for -40F windchill temps. I was happy not to have forgotten anything.

poor little Scooby Doo came inside hobbled w/a frozen paw after just a short walk, when it's 15F or above she's content to stay outside play & investigate things, otherwise the bitter cold motivates her to do her biz & then run past me to dash back inside. Alice has those huge furry feet, it takes a lot to affect her from cold.
