BCSO busts up honey oil lab

Butte County Sheriff's deputies busted up a butane honey oil lab off Nimshew Road in Magalia Tuesday.

With search warrant in hand, the deputies went into the unoccupied home on the 13000 block of Nimshew and discovered the lab, according to a BCSO press release. Once inside, deputies discovered 25 glass collection dishes, 52 extraction tubes used to manufacture the honey oil, 1,152 empty 300ml butane cans, 672 full 300ml butane cans, and two wooden extraction workstations.

The workstations were homemade and able to extract honey oil from six tubes at the same time. The oil would then drip onto a collection plate placed under the tubes, according to BCSO.

A further search of the home turned up 4.53 pounds of finished butane honey oil, 187.73 pounds of marijuana, a half-pound of psilocybin mushrooms and two firearms, according to BCSO. The investigation is continuing and no arrests have been made at this time.

BCSO Sgt. Marty Rolph said the lab was found outside on the porch, noting it was a fairly large operation.

These greedy fucks cant afford 10k for proper extraction/venting systems.
Most Idiots that manage to blow themselves up are only running 1 tube, so multiply that by 6.

Just saying find a remote place to take these risks, not in a neighborhood where when Ya blow Your Dumb Ass up, that My kids/ dogs, or house don't catch any shrapnel.

With that many cans of butane, it seems like one of those extraction machines would actually saved money cause you can run one can up to 5 times. Butane ain't cheap! They might also still be in business too... I bet you anything it was the smell that gave them away.

Top quality BHO can go for $50 or $60 a gram in California dispensaries. I've seen it a lot cheaper, though. I picked up a gram of Thai wax for $10 at Hempcon last year. They'll probably have some crazy deals like that next weekend.

AFAIK it is illegal in Cali.. and if you put some thought into it, its gonna be pretty hard for someone to make butane and pvc tubes illegal.
