1st off, I commend you for buying from real cannabis breeders and not the plethora of pollen-chuckers now hawking bottle-necked elites.
That's important when you plan on doing your own pollinating.

It sounds like you're growing OD?

I've grown a pk. of D.C. and am presently growing a pk. of the DC x Haze. You can follow along in that thread in Tom's forum if you like.

Only thing I've grown of DJ's is F-13, along w/ some of the crosses done w/ his Blueberry male B-130. (Highend & Johnny Blaze) I still use those genetics in my playpen. ;)

I'll be :lurk: waiting to throw in my :2cents: if needed. :tiphat:

Be careful of the Blueberries, they are notoriously nutrient sensitive so feed lightly and you should have some damned good herb.

Good luck w/ the germing. I believe they're all older seed stock, so be patient.
Maybe pre-soak 12-24 hrs, then into paper towels. Have the PT on a small dish, then inside a zip-lock bag, kept in a warm place.
Any that don't sprout, put in soil anyway, and keep slightly moist. I've seen seeds sprout a month later!
Skuffing on sandpaper or filing are good tricks too. Best of luck! :tiphat:

this is so true i have found though they will handle higher ec if you start low and increase your ec a little bit each time you feed. i have noticed by doing this you can get a better yield from the blues than just by a lower ec also i would invest in a product called sea green it will allow you to feed a higher ec without upsetting your girls. it is a new product and i wish i would have had it when i was growing the blues, best product i have seen come out in a long time.

Good luck mate outdoors is the way , I only use 1 24w cfl or a t5 to maintain clone mothers besides that everything is done outdoors the way it's suppose to be done , you can't compete with Mother Nature , all the best on your seed run

So I have a question about the sand paper trick? Where on the seed do you scuff and how many scuffs do you apply to them? On the side or the ends? both?
Thanks in advance to anyone who has done this or can help.

I've read that you make a roll with the sand paper, put the seeds in it and you close the ends with your finger.once you make sure the seeds wont come out and fly all over the room (i once lost a seed this way and looked all over the room for hours and didnt find it!), you shake it for a min o 2. the seeds are scuff.

also filling a little box with the sand paper and proceeding the same way.

is that what you meant?

i do them one at a time, some times with a nail file. i just lightly scuff the edge where they open and it helps them open and loose there shells once they pop. i also believe it helps the seed absorb the moisture required to germinate

My trick is to use an old script bottle and cut a course piece of sandpaper to fit. ( Rolled to the inside) and shake those seeds up. Some seeds have a more pronounced ridge to where the husk separates, and they will naturally wear down there 1st.
The point being, you want to get moisture inside to awaken that kernel. ;)

If you use a flat file, go easy, you're not trying to open it up, just create an area for moisture to wick in.

I've never heard of germ issues with Tom's wares.

Good luck with those DJ beans.

Keep us posted, please.

I look forward to seeing what happens with your grow.

X 18 has always intrigued me.
