I use a 4000K 1000w bulb, you need that kelvin color range to get results like this w/Mh

Damn that looks nice. So you don't use the 2700-3000k but you also don't use the 6500, you use 4000

4000k reduces stretch but gives enough red spectrum for flower, is that what you are saying?

Those are the kind of plants I want to be growing. Not my runt.

you got a unlucky seed bro, you should have germinated a few more

out of 10 seeds, 1 died before it even rooted, another one got problems after 1 week and never grew normal again

the 3rd one is 45 days old and 4 cm high, this is a small plant considering its age :D

germinate some more seeds and forget about that retard

Ya, I am not going to collect pollen from this plant if its male
If its female well thats not bad. I am going to wait until the 16th and chop this plant up. All into clones. Root and 12/12. If i have 10 clones that are all male, I will toss them all. If I have 10 female well even better. At this point I dont care. Next strain is white widow feminized. LST. I learned alot from this grow. EC, Heat Stress, Low RH, VPD, BioBizz Readings. Repotting, Topping, Hurd Breaking. I learned so much. After this its on to bigger and better.

for my seedlings in 16oz cups its hard to beat HO T5s with a 6400K spectralux bulb.
I get superior internodal stacking.

i keep the tops 2-3" from the bulbs with a fan running between the bulbs and tops
picture.php

in veg I like using a higher K rated bulb like a sunmaster or solarmax 6400K-7200K
now I use an ultra sun 7500K Mh, costs around $42,
way cheaper than the other two i just mentioned.

for bloom i use the sylvania BT56 4000K... $21
you see what i get done with a $21 bulb.
Ive dropped the coin for the horti eye super HPS and the only thing good I can say about those is I got a
*GOOD AMOUNT OF STRETCH* LOL

my otibg stretched 6-8" while others using HPS were 2-3Xs stretch

wow. Nice results with the bulbs you have listed. Real nice. I will be getting the HID bulbs that you use, after my Ushios are done. I use a T-5 HO for seedlings and veg. 2 foot 8 bulb 6400K.

I have 2 HID bulbs. One is currently in the reflector. One is in the box. Both Ushio 1000 watters. Super MH and Super HPS.
Very expensive. I will never buy such expensive bulbs again.
I will probably use the HIDs with my next grow. White Widow. We will see. Summer we be here fast and I live in Sweden, No central air conditioning.......Heat may become a serious issue fast.

I hope you have more luck with Azucar then me. You seen overall how healthy my plant is, And how much growth it has. How short and stout, the internodes are stacked. Its not that I didn't do a good job at growing, I think its a runt. Anyway I am going to cut up most of the plant for clones and throw everything 12/12. If it turns out its all male, I will toss it. But if they all turn out to be female, atleast I will get a little bit of bud.

Also I love the red solo cups. They are amazing. Its crazy what simple amazing things I cant find in Europe. When I lived stateside, Solo cups were the best for starting seeds. And a freshly rooted clone, perfect for solo cup.

I know it kinda goes without saying, but how well can I flower my plant with veg T-5 bulbs. I know the plant will suffer a bit because of not having the red spectrum. But I dont want to use my HID right now, and I have no flower bulbs for the T-5. I was going to purchase a 300 watt CFL, but thats about $120, What do you think?

haha... i think anyone with a green thumb who's used the solo cups is hooked for life :D
bad news they don't hav'em across the pond Core?
whats up with that???

as for MH in bloom 4000K is the only bulb to use,
I tried the other 6000K plus and it gives a crap yield... but top shelf product.
another thing is not all strains do well in MH and vice versa w/hps.
check out my thread on it......
it's become quite a debate and more peeps chimed in that i expected.
the best info is in the 1st 15 or so pages, after that the anti MH haters ramp up
https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=243060
AND,,, not all strains perform well under MH, some do better with HPS
and yes, T5s have produced AAA+ nugz.
check out a thread named T5 club...?
or something like that

I am going to get a 4000K bulb for flower after my ushio is done.

Ya 6000K+ I figured would be alot less bud produced but I am having a hard time finding 2 foot 24 Watt T-5 bulbs over here. Everyone seems to use CFL. They have a 24,000 Lumens 300 watt CFL with reflector and all, for about 120 shipped. I think I will get that. If not I will flower with the T-5 6500s.

Thanks for the links I will check them out.

Hit my plant with 1.8 EC, 900 PPM exactly. Not even the slightest sign of burn, wilting, nothing. This plant could have taken more, Alot more I expect. Next feeding is going to EC 2.2. Thats a increase of only .40 EC. I foliar spray every single day too. No signs of over doing it. Looks like organic is alot different when coming to fertilizing.

Around the 16th I am chopping up the entire plant, Rooting clones, Flipping to 12/12.

After this grow I am starting white widow.

Hey Gnome. I found some 24 watt T-5 bulbs 2 footers over here. 4000K. Thats pretty much the same as your 4000K flowering bulb just mine is T-5. That would work right?

40 dollars, not bad.

What do you think?

yup... that'll do it core.
there's a *T5 club* thread here somewhere and they use flouro's to bloom in.
lots of nice buds bloomed under T5s

that would be the way to go imo, and lots cheaper all the way around

Sounds good. How many clones of this strain do you think I can fit if I flip them straight to 12/12?

2 FOOT 8 Bulb T-5

4 clones?

guess it would depend on the container size used...
i can fit 8 plants in 1-gal grow bags under 1 my 4ft 8 bulb T5 fixtures
so yeah, 4 sounds doable to me too

I was watching cloning tutorials. They were using plants that had branches that were like 2 foot long. With my small plant I would just take the entire branch at the stem and clone that right?

Yes.
Try and atleast get a healthy growing branch, (not the smaller bottoms that dont have the same vigor as the good branches) thats atleast 6" long.

T

The_Core

Thanks overgrow!

I am going to cut up my whole plant and make clones, I will keep the 4 strongest, healthiest showing the most vigor and 12/12 them. I have the DWC oxycloner and clonex.

8 Bulb 2 Foot T-5 for flower. 4 clones right to 12/12 after rooting. Will see how this goes.

T

The_Core

NIIIIiice! Those are so healthy they look like DWC plants.
I love my T-5's for veg. Great internodal stacking.
Squat, thick stems, to hold them big flowers.

I cant complain. My plant is short with a thick ass stem. Those T-5s really get the job done. I also squeeze my stems to break the hurd.

I fucked up and half snapped a branch off the main stem trying to break the hurd on the main stem. The plant is too short and the internode stacking is so close its hard to get in there. Anyway I am currently searching for a way to soundproof my inline.

They sell mufflers for them. I tried a stupid looking DIY soundproofer one time. I put a towel around the fan and then a box over that with a hole cut out for the ducting. It worked ok.
