Cleaning a santa cruz shredder ?

Hey people finally found a good grinder , the santa cruz shredder, to replace my long lost space case ( they dont sell them around here anymore ). Really love how this grinder grinds lol , anyhow , just wondering how i would go about cleaning this thing ? Ive probably busted about an ounce of material in it and its all gunked up already , ive ran a toothpick threw the threading to get it to close half decent ( supposed to be new superior threading but seems the same to me ) but its still a little gunky feeling.

Now my first thought was to put the peices in a zip lock bag and shake some 99% iso in there with em. My concern is that it is painted black , will the iso leach the paint ? Also the o-ring is plastic obviously should it be ok left on when cleaning or should i pry it off ? (i dont want to make it all lose and prone to falling off ).

thx for the help

all f'd up after only an ounce run through it?

Amazon sells the shit outta Space Case gear.......

OK, is it paint or an anodized finish, if anodized it's bonded/penetrated to the metal & will not come loose, same with powder coated goods, very permanent. either way 99% iso will likely take care of the problem w/out damaging the plastic ring.

Using iso and vaporizing the end solution will give you some nice iso-hash that is very good for smoking.
Unless you use things other than weed (tobacco?) in the grinder.

You could also use oil, plain cooking oil.
Put oil inside the grinder, give it some spins and add oil as needed.
You can collect the oil and use it for cooking later, but it won't be very strong.
To remove the oil from the grinder use dishsoap. Should wash out really easily.
Then just dry the water and it should be just as clean as iso would get you.
