Dispensary Clones

Hello all

As far as Dispensary clones go, do you believe your really getting what is suggested or just "something." When the clubs opened in Michigan suddenly clones of OG, Sour D, Chem, etc. all appeared and I remember thinking to myself no way...

Does anyone here that has bought a clone feel they were legit or maybe just taken for a ride?

But do you feel they were what you actually bought? Besides bugs, mildew, etc.

They wont sell you an elite.
They do seed runs to find keepers and sell the left overs.
A lot of times they are selling cuts they havent even flowered yet.
Some shops just pop packs of cali connection and sell cuts without ever even running the plant.
Ive bought clones of one plant only to find out they gave me two different phenos!
Recently I found a headband og(sour d x og) clone that Im in love with at a shop!
I think its from reserva privada though...
They also gave me a clone labeled pre98 bubba that turned out to be another headband og that grew to be 5ft tall!
Its so fucking vigorous!
Peace

Hi Jenn,

It really just depends. Sometimes you can get good stuff, sometimes it is not what it is sold as.

Anyone who says that all clubs have fake/bad clones has no idea what they are talking about. In reality it's hit and miss

You can always ask the clubs to see a sample of the flowers from the varieties of clones that are sold.

Usually most clubs have members who grow the common clones and they bring in excess medicine ect.

Good luck.

i have lived in cali my whole life and i would never spend money on any place other than SB for genetics.... unless the breeder is at the dispensary (dj/bog) ... even then...

at no time do i believe anything they say. lets face it, 90% clubs are shaddy.

its more like miss, miss, wildcard (not saying you cant stumble upon something)

why would i even spend money on that when SB offers something that is actually worth money, legitimacy.

you have to be high up on the food chain to come across Elites on a regular basis.

I have bought many great clones from a local club. I have been going there for more than ten years and have a good relationship with them.

Other clubs or clone factories have been disappointing.

Peace :tiphat:

I'm growing some dispensary clones now for the first time. They're 7 weeks into flowering now. Chem 91, Headband, Harlequin, Strawberry Cough, Sour Diesel, and GSC.

I also threw in some C99 F2 clones just in case the dispensary clones aren't great. This was the best C99 female from 2 packs of seeds I grew in 2011, so I know it's good. I'm harvesting the C99 tonight. :) This one is done at 49 days, and it's already been 51.

I had problems with powdery mildew too. It came from one of the dispensary clones, just not sure which one. I'll probably go back to growing from seeds and my own mother plants unless one of these turns out to be awesome.

Yeah, I must agree with others. Unless you REALLY know who grew it and labeled properly, it's better to do your own clones from seeds/strains you like.

For the most part, I've heard numerous problems w/ insects, mildew problems....it creates such a headache/heartache for those needing it the most. Once I heard that, as a MMJ patient myself, I'd start plants and then give to the community, bypassing the ones that had repeated problems....in another state. Cannot speak for Colorado....I gyo.

I know there are dispensaries out there that are legit and want the best for their patients....unfortunately & sadly most are there to hear the CA-ching!!

no, not at all. to be honest i've gotten better genetics from free seeds and i did not have to quarantine those.

if i ever bring another clone into my room it would have to be something very special and come from someone i really trust. even then it would not be going into my room right away. a little paranoid maybe but i'm paranoid and headache free
