Can anyone enlighten me with who has the best price on uniseals?

I'm building and rdwc and I need 30 3" uniseals. Thanks in advance

usplactics isn't bad for pricing. I'd suggest you bite the bullet and get bulkheads. Uniseals didn't last too long for me...err the seals work great but the buckets split. if you do use unis make sure to sand them down really good on the sides/edges and maybe use some dish soap to make things go smoother. good luck.

Now you guys have me questioning uniseals! Haha, I'm using totes though so uniseals should be fine......I'd use bulkheads if they were $3-4 a piece. Any line on those ? hehe

Dude uniseals suck !!!!! They are so yesterday ! Use grommets , they are cheaper too. If you are hell bent on uniseals though try bulk reef supply. But once you use grommets you won't go back:)

I never had good luck with uniseals especially when using thin containers like buckets...the way the uniseal is shaped it depends on a thicker wall to fully seal, added to that the round shape of a 5 gal bucket and they barely work at all. If your using them on flat wall but thin, they probably will work but like others have said you need to make sure the holes are very round and smooth. Once I switched to bulkheads I never went back...just a much more robust trustworthy way to do it IMO, and for not much more cost. Buy the threaded FPT bulkheads and use MPT fittings on your PVC pipe and you will have the same "take it apart" capability of uniseals too.

Uni seals work awesome if you know this little secret trick to installing them.

You ready for this?

Use the hole saw in reverse. Meaning, it needs to spin backwards. Doing this creates a lot of fiction and heat leaving the hole smooth. If you, and like how most institutionalized beings so common do, use the hole saw forward, it will leave the hole, sawed out of plastic, extremely jagged and rough. This pain in the ass debris creates an uneven contact area between the uniseal and plastic, thus, making the lil prick pron to leaking. Method 2 is what 90% of common folk do. Gotta think outside the bun, in reverse..... It does take longer obviously but so worth it.

So now you know.

Any other suggestions?

I'd be fine using bulkheads as well, I just can't find 3" or 4" bulkheads, grommets or uniseals for a reasonable price....I need like 30 of them

4" uniseals are not gonna be real reasonable. Think of it as a one time investment. They should last you forever and are reusable. At the most, they are $8 bucks a pop. Go get your self an ounce, retrieve its value, and buy your uniseals. Thats the thing about our business, it should always be self sustaining. Otherwise its back to soil for you! :watchplant:

If you're in the USA then maybe The Uniseal Warehouse? When I was buying them, that site was the cheapest I could find.

That's where I got mine also. Ok price.
I used 2" with 27gal (4) totes, second run with no clogging...yet. I will take the advise of some and put a screen on the ends so it would never happen.

I've used a couple dozen 1.5" size in the past and have had one leak involving a 6 site 2 gallon bucket system. It didn't leak when I first used the system but after it being roughed up in storage and eventually put back into use it leaked. (The curvature on a 1.5" uniseal on a 2 gallon bucket is so great that the uniseal warps the bucket into an oblong shape.)
