Afternoon everyone!
This is actually the first forum I've ever joined - so bear with me. Been a fan and user of the beautiful lady for approx. 20 yrs - but never grown her myself - until now...well sort of

First:
I'll try to make it short.
I usually spend summers in my cottage on the Norwegian Countryside (souht norway). It has a discreete location, and I have a greenhouse - so I thought why not. I had fresh seeds that I had bought online; afgan, white widow, ice and early misty. During early summer I planted a couple of each strain in my greenhouse - three sprouted and after a couple of months they were enourmous!
Because of the harsh autums I moved them to the basement and gave them 12/12 light using a 400 hps. Left the cottage, and didn't return for a few weeks (way to many). When I returned - the plants were in full bloom - unfortunately one of was a male and pollen were all over the place . The result was hardly smokable, but I got a LOT of seeds.
During the process I lost track of which seeds that had bloomed (ww, ice, afgan, em). Also I don't know what strain the male was - nor the females. So now I have a lot of seeds I dont know what strain is.

Then:
I took my 400 hps home and planted 7 seeds - im pretty sure two of them were white widow, and two were early misty - and I know that a couple were of my "unknown cottage strain type". I started smart - labeling the pots with strain name - but that got lost during replant and now also my short term memory is failing me . FIVE of them turned out females, one male and one is something that looks weird.

Now:
I have really no clue what strains my plants are - other that is has to be afgan, ice, early misty, white widow or some combo of those. I have also lost track of how long I've been blooming them - but trichoms seems clear - starting to "white". Please have a look at the pictures - showing two of the ladies (they differ most) - any idea of strain??? Weeks until harvest? All opinions are very appreciated.

welcome to ic mag, seems like your home made seeds should be good hybrids. it's hard to tell which is which at this stage without having grown them before. from now on kill the males when they show up lol.

if i was to guess i'd say the top plant is probably a ww and the bottom one ice. the second pic sure is showing some indica traits. while the first is a classic 50/50 hybrid by the looks of her. but yeah always label your plants!

Hi Leisure,

Those plants need a lot more time to finish, they look about halfway done, most people take them too early and loose out on a lot of the potency and taste they could have had being more patient.

OD or Greenhouse in S Norway ... I grew plants with friends quite a few times near Sandefijord, personally I would concentrate on Autos or light deprivation, forcing 12/12 during summer. Autumn and Winter come too fast and harsh to be worth spending time or risk growing "normal" plants outdoors.

Ha det bra ,)

thanks - hopefully i can harvest soon. im really eager to find out how many grams in total. Hopefully i'll be selv supplied for a good time.

Isnt the Plant#1 showing a more sativa caracteristics? Taller (85 cm vs. 55 cm), narrower leaves, less bushy, and bigger innerspace between branches...

It's very hard to identify a strain from photos, plants change based on their environment and plants of the same strain aren't identical.
That said... the Top one does remind me of a white widow a friend of mine once grew :p

Love your opening post, very thorough, good to see a new member on ICMag :)

Sounds like you have a bunch of good mixed seeds though :)

I'm not the sort to say "kill all males"

But if I was you I might try to select your favourite plants from that collection before you start making any more seeds ;-)

Hvordan ble resultatet av utendørsdyrkingen? Brukte du auto?

utendørs med vanlige frø, bortkastet tid og risiko. Autos fungere godt det

(outdoors with normal seeds, a waste of time and the risk. Autos work well there)

Whole crop :)

Whole crop :)

Plant#1 is front-right, Plant#2 is front-middle. Back right is very similar to Plant#1 - only taller. Left-left is very similar to Plant#2 - but slightly darker in color. The weird one I mentioned is back-left - only one big cone, no trichoms and pestils are super short.
