led light help

hey guys im leaning towards led for my new cab originally i was guna do cfl. i decided led simply because ive always wanted to use them.

okay to the questions
#1. 6 band or just 660 and 440nm? whats best to get results in a low watt run?
#2. how does led perform with hydro? better or worse than soil??

#3. anyone have experience flowering autos under 50wers?

1) for my pc box im using 630nm, 660nm, 450nm and a few cool white leds. i dont see the need for a full spectrum or those UV/IR leds. the 2 types of red are useful for the emerson effect and blue is for vegging. you could do without any white leds, but my kit had only 4 blue ones vs like 26 red, so i ordered some extra whites to help with vegging

2) hydro always performs better than soil (more yield). but generally the bud is better from soil as far as ive heard. this has nothing to do with lamps.

3) i will be running a few autos on ~40w in my pc box. but its in the process of making so far. search on google. its very possible to get nice yields in small boxes (if you dont smoke too much, or else its too little weed for too much work).

okay next question. 4 x 50 watt led ufos or 1 200w led panel? the 50s cost around 50 quid each and the 200 costs like 230 i belive for a decent one that does what it says on the box.
i was contemplating simply because i could at some point upgrade to 8 50w ufos for a sog style grow in a small area using just small indicas. what you guys think? ive upgraded my grow space aswell. from a small cab idea to a closet grow after i move in and settle. that way i wont get caught ill buy the lights as soon as possible and wait for a while before turning them on. dont wana get caught instantly

I'm new here but got 2years of experience on another forums
From my point of view is much better to use 4x50watt rather then 1 200w unit.The reason is simple cos you will cover more area with 4smaller lamps then from 1 unit which is propably 30/50cm size -under that kind of unit you can grow 2-3plants ,no more due to lamp coverage.
why you dont want to DIY LED lamp ?its louds of topics here and guidelinces
with china made lamps you never know what you are buying but if you'll build your own with proper led's you'll know what you have. And its good fun to see how girls grow under your own lamp

thanks for the info intresting what you say about making a light i would'nt know where to start tbh im not very informed on making them. how would i get a housing for it all?

my lamp is made with Cree/Osram Led's which are best and the only reason why I made it was simple .I did want best panel for my girls after disappointment with 300wat china made lamp.
I'm not elektronic guy and never have any idea about lighting in the past but after I've opened that china disco light I discovered that its easy thing to build and i started my research to be able to build lamp
If you are really interesting in DIY I'm happy to help you if you want
I just want to warn you b4 you buy any light to bring link here and let another growrs to advise you with it
