Dogs poop n/s axis

My boy just passed, so I cant confirm that this is true or not.
He always took his time finding the perfect spot though, until the end there.

It’s all starting to make sense. For years I wondered why my dog spins in a circle before depositing her daily double. But now I think I have a clue as to why. Scientists at the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague have found that, like other animals, dogs are sensitive to Earth’s magnetism.
Dogs prefer to do their duty with their bodies aligned along the north-south axis, particularly under calm magnetic field conditions, report Hynek Burda, et al. in a study published in the Frontiers of Zoology. The field can fluctuate and I can’t help but wonder if it’s on those unstable days that my dog circles round and round like a housefly on a windowsill.
he scientists came to their conclusion after measuring the direction of the body axes of 70 dogs, representing 37 different breeds, as they were making a deposit — the dogs, not the scientists. The researchers observed both number ones and number twos over a two-year period.
After sorting the data according to the geomagnetic conditions, among other technical variables, the team concluded that dogs were predictably sensitive to Earth magnetism and showed sensitivity to changes in polarity, rather than intensity of the magnetic field.
Next time your dog poops, take note of the direction and report back.

my mom said it's because the dog needs to do some exercice to get it going

of course they have worms so do dog handlers. We give them spinosad once monthly. I wish there was a more "natural"/organic way.

Poppycock!
I have 3 dogs and a compass.

My dogs do have 99 specific criteria, for the exact location of each deposition.
But the Earth's magnetic field ain't one of 'em.

Because fuckyou, that's why.

Yeah, but you live on the equator right ?

Like the water running out of the sink´s tap that does not know whether to go left or right, a dog´s poo compass must be similarly compromised at 0 degrees latitude.

Good point!
But I actually stay north of the equator.
And the Coriolis effect just determines direction of dogspin, yah?
Final placement shows no magnetic alignment of dog, or dog exhaust.

Of course, the 60Hz emf from buried power lines could bollix their compass I suppose.
What say you?

Yes, just but how far north ?

Enough to flip dog poo out of the Coriolis Turd Tailspin Vortex ?

TIL : Hawaii, Tropical Pacific paradise where all doggie doo is in curly wurly Pi'ipi'i

Well, ya can't even see the equator from here.
Maybe if I stand on a chair?
No, better not, last time I tried that, I bit my ear!
:D

Quite!
And then some.
Due to the excess gravity on the Big Guy's Land.

Then, the ants eat it.:dance013:

My little dog is getting really old and can't control his bladder so well. Watching his behavior, I've come to the conclusion that magnetic fields do not work in our house. He'll just poop right where he's standing.

Outside . . . he must inspect every inch of the yard for the perfect place to poop.

Great! Another way to find your way home if you are lost. You can watch your dog have a crap along with looking for moss on the north side of a tree. LOL.

my last dog made small crop circles in the tall field of grass for hay. big circles with poo in the middle . it was funny. I figured he was flattening the grass so his junk didn't get tickled whilst taking a poo. rip maxwell

Just so happens that the toilet in my bathroom points N/S as well... so, in my only experience where I've actually considered dropping a dougy regarding direction, I, too, tend to shit facing N/S, specifically N.

Luckily I had had my faithful Wolf Dog Cha-Cha

When I was lost in the wilderness, I would watch him take a shit and know which way to go.....:tiphat:

Must not be important for people...
I align on an E/W axis and everything works fine.

Sometimes I even get 'The Bonus Turd'.

Very soul satisfying and makes the universe complete and balanced.
