This is insane , I thought they had to genetically modify a plant before it being considered different enough to patent. They say its a hybrid. The one plant is from Ecuador, where is the other from? How can the say they created anything! Bullshit , I cant believe this. They better deny this patent.

CBDS stock + 187% today on 8,067 times average volume.

A purchase agreement and an option to buy are both promises about maybe some future sales maybe not. This is probably more about making CBDS stock go up. Aren't patents issued by the federal government?

According to CBDS filings with the SEC they have no reported revenue.

Marijuana stock went crazy today, in conjunction with Colorado retail sales. I was very disappointed with the prices charged by retail stores, from little I saw about retail sales pricing- Colorado retail prices increased 300% from say $150 / ounce medical to $450 / ounce retail. Prices will have to be under $150 / ounce for a great sativa to generate any retail interest from me.

Novice smokers get their hands on some decent herb and think they are the next Pot King. Personally I think all this corporate weed greed is going nowhere.
-They have no idea what quality cannabis is.
-The corporate weed Ive seen is all just atrocious. Chemically grown with no flush, irradiated for "safety", low potency.
-The black market will always have its foothold. Customers will always choose a better product for a lower price.

...but just to be safe Ive been backing up everything I love in seed form. So unless they raid my fridge, Ill be good to grow. Everyone should be doing this IMO, for the betterment and preservation of the cannabis plant, before it becomes "pharmaceutical grade"... that term sounds scary to me, like death in a bottle.

I think the community at large has their strain collection beat by miles, the underground will always be alive. No matter how *REGULATED* they try to make a plant.

is made up of old school people in this game.

It very misleading for a public company to imply the United States Patent and Trademark division has patents pending on marijuana strains from Ecuador. I'm sure their high on life and helping others.........

I would consider an investment in a public agriculture company legally and legitimately growing and selling hemp. Hemp has to be significantly more useful and profitable than corn and soybeans used a cattle feed or ethanol.

PS> Late in life my grandfather, told us about growing 30 acres of hemp during World War 2. His assignment was to grow the females for seeds, to give to others. The government gave him a 60 page growers manual, which he said, made it clear, the government didn't know anything about growing hemp. The plants were spaced 3 feet on center and was given 5 pounds of seeds to plant. And told to plant them all, and when the males got 7 feet tall and were releasing pollen to cut them down with government issued clippers. By mid-July the hemp plants were 16 feet tall and the clippers didn't come close to fitting around the stalks.

Because he was told to plant all the 5 pounds of seed, instead of thinning each hill of one male, he had to chop down 7 or 8 males on each hill in the thirty acres. he was a good Baptist church elder and never drank, but one afternoon after chopping down 16 foot flowering males he came home for lunch, covered in pollen. Grandma said, "Bill, are you all right, you don't look quite right, are you sick?" He said, "I'm fine, but I'm feeling funny, kinda like I'm walking on a cloud. I think I take a nap this afternoon." Grandma says, " Bill if your not sick you need get back out in the field and tend to that hemp the government needs for the war."
