I agree and that was the plan but my funds didn't come through so buying a 16 light flip for 700 and 8 bulbs and shades another 1300 isn't going to happen atm . So I have to take the hit on the electric bill and material . Also the closest I am to a growshop is 150 kms and the stop don't stock much more then nuttes so im forced to order the gear .

There is no need to double up on everything...That can be done later on, if you want.

All you need to buy to do a flip system is a flip box, some B&W polly, 2x2's to build a wall from, and to staple your polly too. Everything else will be just(your) labor.

Simple to do...Just split your room in half with the polly wall.

Put half your lights, shades, plants, etc., etc., in one room, and leave half in the other room. You will be running exact same wattage as you are now but only half your ballasts(1 ballast...2 bulbs). Everything else will remain the same...Same amount of plants, same room(but split), same amount of bulbs, same amount work, same amount of power, the same amount of everything.

The only thing that would change is your crop will be in two rooms instead of one and you will only be using half of your ballasts. The rooms are side by side, producing heat for each other...Cold problem solved.

PS. If you are running digital ballast, you will need 2 relays in the flip box, then you won't burn the ballasts out. Just tell the Hydro shop your using digitals.

try an infrared heater,1500 watss,but they use little power,i know i have had 2 for over 3 years and love them!they use 20% of the power a 1500 watt electric space heater will use.

Have had my woodstove going for 2 days straight now and my basement is still warmer than yours.....insulation time perhaps?...how much air are you exhausting...are you sucking in straight from indoors or mixing it?

Yea I actually went a head and got a few bails of insolation and started to insolate the entire basement as well as my room within the basement . Ending up costing around $500 but well worth the investment . The tempture its staying around 60 now . Think ill be ok after I set up a 1k vegroom beside the flowering room . Going to vent the veg into the flowering room .

little update The room now stays around 58 in the lights off and 75-78 when there on. They really seems to be doing fine . There 11 days into flowering and I cannt find a spot in the room that isn't well into flowering .. The development of the buds at only 11 days seems to be ahead of the previous grows I have done ...

You growers think maybe its because of the coolness of the night cycle?

Also is there any studies done with cooler temps through out the flowering cycle?

canada, anytime i have grown with low flowering temps like around 72-74 the yeild is less the quality is higher and the end product is always more green

I be keepin' my flowerin' room in the mid to high 60's with no problems year round like when the lights are off,
they be basement rooms where my show grows.

Heat from my crib keepin' it warm like mid 70's when the lights be bright,
if' in it gets too warm I crack a window and let some chillin' breeze keep it there

Don't be seein' it effect yield but my girls like it chilly, just like some sweater meat peekin'
