I have not yet. but I would love to. I have smoked once befor and it was the best buzz I have ever gotten. I felt like I was floating in the air and for 2 whole days after my bedroom smelled like blueberry pan cake factory.

do any of you know of a better tasting strain? I guess its all a matter of opinion.

I have it and want to do it but scared off by the reports of poor germ and results that I have heard, but hope they are just trolls, I will find out eventually and you will sooner than that, I look forward to hearing your results! Good luck

you hope they are trolls? if people say they have bought something and had bad germ rates I would guess that it could be the case. I don't know why people would wanna troll on a good company, and even if that was the case.. the results speak for themselves. personally ive know a few experienced growers who have had bad experiences with the dj short stock. for that reason I wouldn't grow it. even though I also would love a good bb..

i think the general assumption in you need to run a decent amount to find a good female.. good luck either way!

Long veg time and easy on the nutrients. I don't believe people know how to grow dj strains very well. A sterile (good bacteria and fungi is okay) germination method with gentle warmth will crack em.

I see this a lot where the grower and the breeder use radically different grow methods and it causes issues. For instance if you have a breeder who works with land race strains and grows them outdoors, organically and in soil and then you get a grower who grows indoors using hydro and high potency chemical fertilizers often the plants will not do well simply because they were bred for a very different environment.

I've personally just about killed a large mature IBL sativa by repotting it into FFOF soil which any of my commercial indica poly hybrids would have thrived in. Just because the indoor poly hybrids were growing beautifully in the same soil right next to the sativa that was curling up and dying didn't mean the sativa's genetics were bad. It simply meant I wasn't growing it in the conditions it was suited for. When that same sativa was later grown properly in low nute soil with almost no added fertilizers it did great.

The opposite can be true where you have a breeder that uses a high tech, high nute hydro set up with CO2 injection and the works to grow poly hybrid lines that have been grown indoors for decades and a grower who grows outdoors in a low moisture, sandy soil with barely any suplimental fertilizers. Once again the grower may have problems when they try to grow their seeds in conditions they simply were not intended for.

From what I have seen of DJ shorts gear, which has all been from watching the grows of others around me, is that its wise to treat it the way you would treat a semi sensitive sativa as far as nutes and soil go. The best DJ short gear I have seen has been grown organically in medium strength soil with mild organic teas as fertilizer.

i grew otm cut, and it was challenge.. it doesnt like much feeding, it doesnt need.. but final product was incredible... powerful euphoric dreamy high, very balanced, it made me lazy :D

i know that moneymike had otm cut, he called it cedarberry, and it really has some cedar wood tones there.. i love otm..

if anybody doubts about dj short´s bean from different vendors, or is afraid of growing this genetics in pure form, i suggest to try chimera´s grapefruit x bluebery seeds, you can find blueberry muffin pheno with enormous buds, easy to grow, check chimeras forum out peeps..

Im growing some TBB F2's right now. The nice guy I got them from made some of the F2's with the indica phenos and some with the sativa phenos and separated them both.

Got a few of each kind running now. I've flowered out some of the sativa side of the F2's a few years ago, it was very good, heavy yielding, lots of stretch, purple and smelled like sweet BB muffins. This time Im looking more into the indica side of things.

i wanted the bb purple stem pheno i poped 3 seeds out of my 10 put the rest away for safe keeping , out of my 3 bb's i got two females both with purple/redy stems and the male even had purple stems i was quite surprised on my chances

be carefull about buying dj seeds in the summer have had some bad luck personally with germ rates , but it was an exceptionally hot year for my neck of the woods,

true bluebberry is more colourfull than other blues iv tryed , but not as sweet its more bitter in a way, that said the high is the best of all the blues iv found up there with his f13 imo !

best blueberry iv ever found so far has been from dp stock but every plant was different so changes of finding what i have are low you would need a stupid amount of seeds !

so to some up its the best high very colourfull but not as sweet and moreish as other blueberry lines !

the most flavourfull strain in my arsenal is a pheno of cheeseberry , but again took 13 females and 25 seeds to find ! all plants were different 99% were mid range crap!

it stinks so much i limit my self to one or 2 plants a grow lol..................... it just overwhelms my other plants

Hello:
BB plant 20 days since I put the seed into a jiffy after being in wáter for around 15 hours.
A bit slow in the vegetative stage comparing with other strains, the previous round I had to wait till week 6/7 to see some preflowers.
It´s not DP gear it´s PeakSeedsBC.
Happy 2014 everyone.:tiphat:

I have a keeper of True Blueberry and F-13. These two lines share a parent, and are very similar. I regrow them often. With my True Blueberry the buzz is nice and functional, but by no means is it strong. The taste is what I love about True Blueberry. Its a really earthy, sweet fruity taste, with some skunky hash flavors as well. DJs strains also taste quite a bit better with a long cure. Growth wise it is a slow small plant, and a small yielder. It is far from the hybrids we are all use to. Luckily the taste and character of buzz makes this one worth growing again and again. While I find F-13 to be the most powerful DJ Short strain I have tried, the True Blueberry is the best tasting strain of DJs in my opinion. I highly recommend trying both!

Here are some bud shots of the True Blueberry last run.

I would steer clear of dutch passions bb stock , dj short is the man for the "real deal" , having dutch passions stock hermie on me 3 times in perfect growing conditions as dj said he wouldn't even know what there passing off as bb these days ..
