how to proper read my ec meter?

hi guys, i just bought a HM digical ec-3 meter

i tried to search a bit around on how to calculate my ec from my reading, but its pretty confusing, and the manual says nothing about it

my tap water has a reading of "950" its read in (us/cm)

from what i read so far, 1000 (us/cm) is a ppm of around 600? can that really be true? isn't that a high reading for normal tap water?

yo, i read some more, and i found out that ppm is calculated from ec, from 0.5 to 0.72 conversions

so 1,0 ec will be between 500 and 720 ppm

but i guess this meter i got is only for ec and not for ppm, so it has no conversion rates, so atm i cant figure where in between 0.5 and 0.72 this meter is reading, cant seem to find it by searching either, might have to call the company that makes them
