Hello all, never posted before...figured might as well since i have some substance available to share. I'll try to keep it short and sweet, but no promises. Would like to start by saying ICMag is great, have been browsing for about four months now I guess and soaking in all sorts of awesome information. I also would like to give major props to BuenoTime, VerdantGreen, and last but certainly not least BushyOldGrower (B.O.G.)...as they have been my highlight inspirations. Kinda made a lurking home on the 150 hps club and here Micro forum since thats what I'm going for, being down here in Texas. Anyways, I'll give some back-story on the last few months before i just start putting pics up. As the title states, its just some unknown bagseed from some good schwag i got a little prior to planting. Basically I started with one, decided few weeks later to plant couple more, couple more weeks later two more, and i had 5 going. Just been running under a 13w, 14w, and a 23w cfl bulb set up...planned to have had my 150w hps light by now (thinkin about ordering next friday) but its ok to me bc this grow was just for the first time experience and its been nice. Back to the plants...wound up with the first one, 1/2 from the second seed planting, and 1/2 from the third planting being male so I am left with two pretty cool looking females. I potted them in 2/3 fox farm ocean forest and 1/3 perlite, also have been using fox farms big bloom, tiger bloom, and grow big for nutrients. Ok, think that about covers it for the most part.

So just realized I never mentioned how far along they are, mostly because I only loosely remember so I'm just reading the plant at this point...I wrote the date down at some point but i guess i trashed it, but I think maybe few more weeks til finish. Anyways I took new pics today, think they are better than the ones from the other day.

Hello once again, another round of update pics taken yesterday. Also I got my light in yesterday, put in the tent today but that light makes for horrible pictures and not much has changed anyway.

Nice choice of light. If you try doing remote ballast security light, it ends up costing about the same, but isn't packaged as nicely. I think the one you chose is about the best deal on 150hps you can get atm.

Congrats on the first grow. It's a big step.

Hello yet again everyone...thanks Dilbert, also my thoughts exactly on the light. I tend to become fully invested in the things I do and I try not to do anything half-assed, I wanted it to at least look somewhat professional and keep it clean. It did kinda burn the top on the better looking one though (totally my fault, with the shitty ventilation i have at the moment but some fans and ducting is about the only essentials i have left to buy), but it made for an easy sample to cut/smoke when i chopped yesterday. I was already baked but my buddy, who hadn't smoked for about a week I guess, said I did a good job cause he was pretty high so that's nice. I took a couple pics up close before the chop and one after



...coulda trimmed a little better but I did do it in like 10 mins. I will try my hand at a brief weigh in/smoke report when its dry in a few days and plan to start the next run at some point this week. I also have 45 total pics in my 1st grow album if anyone would like to look at them.

Hello again, just wanted to follow up...wound up with around 10-12g. No complaints, learned alot...somehow managed to grow some of the best bud I've smoked in the 10 years I've been partaking, on my first shot nonetheless. Very earthy, kinda citrus-y stuff thats received compliments from the other two people I've had the opportunity to share it with, so I am happy. Thank you to all who have viewed my first grow and thread. I have new babies in the tent and they will get their time to shine in a new thread as soon as they all come up, already have 4/7 so maybe tomorrow or monday. Til then, thanks again :)

Nice first grow bcrx looking forward to your second. What size tent do you have and did you notice much of a difference in the growth of the plants after you switched lights ?

Thank you very much, as am I :) As for the growth i'm not really sure, considering i turned it off after about 3 days and finished last few days on cfl, when I came to terms with the lack of proper ventilation...however the one in the solo cup was quite a bit more bud than i expected, looking so scrawny before I put it in so it is possible I suppose.

not bad for first grow. looking good. i would refrain from taking pictures of myself with plants though. unless you're legal.
