Soil or Hydroponics?

Are you saying that my organic bio-bizz is veganic and that it has come mislabelled for a Decade? Or are you saying because I only add water and no guano it is veganic.

It is all part of an organic system, Veganics is not something new and is not fully implemented much like permaculture in terms of modern farming.

(Perminant Agriculture) Bill Mollinson or Sep Holtzer - Some of founders of the western forms of this Permaculture.

You can't eliminate animal waste in the field but indoors it is beneficial to keep Poo out the grow. (if it ain’t rabbit poo it's not working when you feed it.)

If you don't test you substrate you don't know if it was the guano or the OM or Fungi that was responsible for the extra nutriment delivery.

Veganics and organic is just sematics, going from provenance to provenance and witnessing various culture systems the difference between organic and veganics is simply the ability to amend the soil with animal or human waste, some cultures don't have that luxury and others find anaerobic composting disgusting. It is all basic organic cultural practice.

Like you said you don't like dirt!

I am not sure how to respond without being truthful, it would take to much of my time right now.

Peace

i can assure anyone that indoor grown, hydroponic flowers will test cleaner of toxins, and higher cannabanoids then outdoor plants grown in polluted, acid rain residue.

some of my fave bud ever i grew outdoors organically , but hydro still gets 200-240 an O and od is like 240 a pound in bc right now if it will even sell.

market verification is truely the best abstract to use

I totally agree Med-man you cant be giving it away and once you have smoked 'Endo' you can't compare it to smoking 'OD'.

"Lights inherently are not organic as much as we like them. To think that we would have to grow without them is a sad reality".

Greenhouse grown is next to as good as indoor in terms off hygiene in modern structures with integrated controls Med-Man. I'd drop that one on people saying 'OD' environmental conditions Suck Balls.

thats bc though

i am sure cali, spain, mexico, columbia, africa etc has some outstanding outdoor.

i am a control freak. i do not like being helpless to the enviroment and her ruthless attitude.

i like my tables at 25%-75% organic. teas. thats just my preference and the judges at comps. so i stick with what works for me.

now if move to uruguay, and set up a warehouse and a field, you best believe i will set up some hoop house and force flower in july and aug :)

i like my trichs protected from wind, rain and residues. i like to utilize the trim , and buds etc. o.d. can make or break us, any of us. not to mention caterpillars, locusts etc

I would like to learn about making my own organic hydro nutrients. Never knew how to filter it enough to not leave a residue. I like poop, it's a good fert. Rabbit, lamb, goat, are all great poops. Guano is good but very strong. Vegan isn't my style but I never tested for it's flavor profile in the end. There is a lot of nettle around here, for fermented plant extracts. If I could make a nutrient that works in hydro similiar to PBP or pure blend, that would be cool. Lot's to learn yet and that's why I read icmag.

I won't argue with you that My organic Coco Coir grown is superior to the soil grown in terms of yield to media mass but the water use isn't efficient as the soil grown (looking at bio mass per soil plant per litre and compare that to coco coir watered 5x as much you don't even get close to the comparable harvest in flowers to water use that soil offers)!, My coco has more pronounced resin and fuller bud structure and they're bigger overall which will undoubtedly win most competitions in an organic section when compared/placed next to soil grown in that organic section, the judges like what they like.. I can blind taste the coco grown in the finished flowers every puff, not the soil grown. Same with Hydro all organic, I can taste the extra growth or something, I am not saying I don't like it but I notice it every time even in the cleanest of crops. (This is why I grow,,,, because weed is usually Shit!)

Soil is just a far superior product. You can only get so High so you might as well do it in style!

N-P-K is N-P-K organic or inorganic

Tons of Canadians use water chillers from H&M. Wasting thousands of gallons of water per day.

What's so environmentally friendly about that?

gotta get me one of those,

sarcasm aside water cooled AC is arguably the best climate control for a covert grow
I have a couple of clients that heat their swimming pools with the waste heat
just for clarity here we are talking about mechanical air conditioning using water rather than air for cooling not a swamp cooler or just a heat exchanger with water flowing through it

hey frank

you mean like water cooled condenser, thermoplus etc?

pools eh? and the pools stay cool enough to keep the unit operating?

the chlorine or salts dont effect the plumbing in the unit?

the in ground or the ghetto candian tire ones?

yes water cooled condenser
indoor in ground pool
sacrificial anode and media filter only real considerations for the AC
have heard of installs with large totes, kiddy pools or even ponds used as reservoirs for cooling as well

another nice thing about water cooled ac is that its a closed system as far as refrigerant so you have no need for a HVAC tech just water in, water out a thermostat some duct, power and your done for a simple one zone system

hey frank, thanks

i have some and used some and seen many

they do rock, pretty much diy. i have seen guy fail with kiddie pools, 55 gal drums and what now. you need a very cold exterior climate, or a massive res of water to maintain wtaer temp at or below 80 F. otherwise it kind of a waste

I am familiar with them from my HVAC days, I know an engineer who uses his well as the heat sink, actually it is two wells on a old farm, he pumps out of one and drains into the other with equal amount of head on either end so the pump is very small as the system is naturally balanced. Took him a while to find an air leak but once he did he cooled his house in the summer with it.

Peace

i have been using them for years they are called WSHP water source heat pump a company called McQuay makes the best ones.

You can also zone them and get reversing valves and the discharge hot water can be sent to another unit to heat rooms during off cycles

swamp chillers suck because they add humidity like crazy.

you can also use them with geothermal if you dont have a source of unlimited free water (loops in the ground or from one drilled well dumping into another well)

setup costs for that is high though did one for a guy right before finding out the mmar was over cost 9k for well drilling plus 6k for large vfd well pump to meet the demand.

Wow! big bummer, the guy I know it already had the dug wells from when the farm was in operation, Insurance company tried to force him to fill them in.

the choice of everyone in bc is thermoplus. i would go with the most selling units in the most etsted region on earth

i am sure the inards of most the units all come from the same fabricator though

Desmond from H&M has the largest carbon footprint in the world. Lol. Responsible for millions of gallons of water being wasted every hour. Haha.
