hi colorado peeps, I am grower from denver who likes to ride the snowboard 3-4 days a week if anyone else does the same i would love to car pool, my truck only gets 18 mpg :(

Haven't heard that yet. My info was from the owners mom. She works at the store in Lakewood. Could very well be true though.

My info came from http://www.coloradoan.com/ reporting on Fort Collins City Council vote a few months ago

sort of a sit back and see how rec shops play out elsewhere before opening them here attitude

doubt I will ever see the inside of one unless they sell clean clones
med shop clones here are famous for mites

Don't dispair.... I see a lot of movement in our direction. Keep after your elected officials. Do NOT let them forget who pays/ and who votes.

I think I'll just take another cut on Jan 1, 2014.... just cause I can.

is it wrong that i want to go to a store on jan first and buy an eighth or even just a gram... without using my red card? just to say i did?

It's not wrong at all. It's a watershed event, a stunning victory for legalization forces everywhere.

I just hope it's not too nuts or too freaking cold. I'm too old to stand in line for hours.

shit, i'll light up a fatty and smoke it with people in line....

That's a plan. Maybe I'll see you there. Don't overtoke the homies, cuz when they get to the front of the line they gotta say more than "Like, Wow, Man." Probably a lot of lightweights in the line, returnees like me who never were medical.

I want an opening day special- 8 different eighths, seller's choice, bagged up & ready to go, same price as an ounce. OK, maybe a little more. I have a lot of catching up to do when it comes to sampling what modern cannabis offers. So do a lot of other people, I'm sure, people with a jingle in their pocket.

However much one buys, it's a once in a lifetime score. It'll never happen again, and it'll be a great day to be there, be part of it, to have a story to tell.

I don't think there is anything wrong with it at all
I'm sure we will visit a shop out of curiosity at some point in time,
it won't be Jan 1st. That day we will be watching Toronto Maple Leafs
and Detroit Red Wings play in 110,000 seat stadium at Michigan University at 11am

I am glad that even though FC has a 4 month hold on rec shops
there are two just our side of city limits set to open

this article says 1/8th could run as high as $60 ??? ouch, that's $17 a gram

I Always have been too old to stand in line..... why I left the Army. In 1976.

But I will take a couple of hits and eat a cookie to remember the day,,,, it's been a long time coming.

I have to say that I went to a couple dispensaries the other day to sample whats out there, and I will tell you what!!!
Was very disappointed. If this is all the rec shops are gonna offer then tourists are the only people that will frequent them. Everyone else will continue to get their quality meds from quality growers.
Just my two cents.
I will however, go to sample and see whats crackn! Maybe i will get lucky and find a Banner #3!!!

Only reason I'll ever likely visit a rec shop will be for clones, IF they have any that aren't riddled with bugs, AND it's a strain that I really want in my garden..... Or seeds?

Will have to comb thru the law and see if they can sell seeds? That would be a decent business idea, set up a walk in seed bank rather than the "Send your MO out of country and roll the dice on your order" thing that we've all been dealing with right now.

Here's how I think it goes down

Rec shops = Lower grade herbs, higher price.. people who buy less

Med shops= For people who buy more for a lower price... decent stuff can be found

Caregivers/Underground growers= Best buds, lowest price...
