How stable are these new releases?

Much love to OJD. I've run much of his gear and found some gems. I've probably ten packs still on ice from Connoisseur Genetics. What I haven't seen however is stability in the lines I've grown. I'm looking at these new releases and it seems like they're all more polyhybrids. I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but I was hoping for some breeder input on this business direction. You guys hold some elite cuts that are hard to find any more. I'd like to see things like SSSDH or your initial crosses worked more before you keep smashing them together.

The sssdh is pretty dominant in all the hybrids despite them being polyhybrids. The haze flowering time and lemony citrus flavours are pretty stable amongst the lines, the variation will be in to what extent the mothers show through.

I would say they are more stable than MNS haze lines if you're talking variety of phenos, from what I've seen from the test grows.

Peace

CommonWealth not really sure what your getting at. SSSDH was created by Rez. Then CSG found a real keeper from them and recently put out S1s of SSSDH. There needs no work done any farther on SSSDH. Sure all the new crosses or really all there crosses are polyhybrids, showing traits from both parents and there parents but thats what its about crossing ojd's SSSDH with new flavors and seeing what happens. What you looking for Stawberry, Sour, or Cookies in a Hazy form thats what youll get with new releases.

On working there older lines i believe that they have already done this enough. They put out in S1 form(GDP,White,Casey) and now SSSDH in S1, no work can be done there. They put out OGchem in regular form then reworked parents. Labrador is a worked OG chem line. They put out a bunch of Casey, GDP, Cheese, Chem d Bx2 crosses that really need no work done. i believe these were created with the intentions of being able to find phenos from both parents, which is what most want. When you take 2 elites and cross them together you want to get a full range of phenos otherwise you would be like TGA or Archive(just for examples) who use the same male over and over giving there lines a staleness about them.

Not worth my time trying to have a discussion on breeding I see. I get why TomHill left when this is the level of understanding of breeding.

So nothing but negative opinions are welcome? Why don't you tell us a story about a tomhill strain the competes with a csg strain.

You didnt really ask a breeding question, you asked about a buisness direction, didnt you? Then you say you dont want CSG to "smash" crosses together. Then you want to be rude, did Santa skip your house this year?

Without me being rude like you have id like for you to enlighten all of us on your understanding of breeding since were all below you and good ol Tom. Whats the name of your seed company and what crosses have you created that are 100% stable and homogeneous?

Being a geneticist by training, I prefer polyhybrid genetic pools as the likelihood of finding a incredibly unique keeper is higher. That said, it's more work and more seeds to pop, but I like the variation and the range of phenotypes expressed. OJD "slams" some great base genetics together, giving us a chance at some great cultivars that are not common.

Of course stabilized seed stock is great for crops from seed and important for maintaining traits, but considering how easy cloning is, I don't have as great a need for stabilized genetic seed stocks. I'd rather have a shot at uniqueness, but that's just me.

If you want some thing more stable from seed, the SSSDH s1 put out some consistent traits....

Csg might not have done alot of work on the strains and most are polyhybrids but i gotta say alot people are finding amazing phenos from csg gear ;)

my breeding is fully transaparent

i document most of my breeding projects online

i breed what people want which at the moment is seeds of hard to get clone only elites

im open about how i breed and what i do unlike alot of the companys out there

with feminized seeds i dont see the need to do back crossess as feminized seeds produce alot closer to the clone than regs do as a male is involved so adds alot more genes to the party

im happy with the way im breeding and doing things and will continue the same way i have been doing for all these years
ive grown many other seed co's seeds an dont see beter quality than what im producing
im not saying mine are beter but they hold up to all the best companys out there and i exclusively produce all my seeds and dont outsource to other comapanys etc like 9/10 of all the big companys do
i must be doing something good or i wouldnt still exist as a breeder today

peace

these guys are the original holders and we are lucky these gems have been let of in the community for guys like me to make hybrids and offer them to the world

Hey everyone,

I've run 2 packs of CSG sssdh
And found them stable
Of course with the diesel gene pool there is always a risk of hermie tendencys

Ojd looking forward to your new releases this year
If there as good as the sssdh I'll be a happy gardener

perhaps the reason is because neville and shanti did the work for you and rez :)

They might of started the work but i dont see these socalled top breeders producing anything worth smoking or growing these days, for eg Mr nice seed co sell the most wack seeds on the market.

Rez dont exist anymore!! Lol

Neville lives back in Australia and is breeding nothing!

Dear odj, I really really enjoy growing your fem seeds in my organic soil and then smoking and sharing the results with my friends. I have had your white jones requested again and again by Big Joe, because he loves the stuff, and so does his wife. My son stated it was the star of last years grow, and I now have a white jones by who the hell knows going this time along with your sssdh/sc. You are doing a great job for us small growers and giving us a real chance to experience some elite strains we would not have access to. Thanks so much for your generosity and the crosses you have brought us. Yes, I love his stuff.

OJD is the man cause he blends the old school flavor hazes, cheeses, and OGs. Many times it's like the DAM x Cali....

That SSHxSSSDH cross is legit old school!!!!!

If dude wants consistency... Find a keeper and clone the fuck out of her... Funny how he has yet to reply with the name of his strains and seed bank
