Hello,

So if you do a search for 'led grow lamp', you get tons of results. on ali you have so many it is actually ridiculous.

and yet, we have very few grow reports.

the vast amount of led grow light choices is huge and the people using leds are quite small; I cannot figure out why are there so many people producing these lamps and how are they keeping their businesses afloat?

with HPS and MH, you don't have as many manufactures as you do with leds, and yet you have shit-tons of verified grow reports.

wtf is going on?

with the vast amount of led lamps for sale out there, you'd think they are selling like hot bread fresh out of the oven...

Those grow lamps are not exclusively built for marijuana growing and there are thousands of growers that don't want to expose themselves due security reasons.

Say there was one company that did soda and made many many sodas.

Say there was 5 companies that did soda, and made many many sodas.

Say there were hundreds of companies, and made many many sodas.

Like say all the Philips CMH 315w dominates the market, so there aren't many other 300w CMH getting through.

Now say nothing dominated the market, and small people can join in.

This is like LED.

The market is free, not dominated and captured by one company sucking up all the customers and resources.

With soldering iron and Led Chips many companies can make LED lamp, for HID,you need glass, gas, vacuum box, sintering equipments etc. small companies cannot afford those.

I would assume.. there is more growers off the net then on

or the scan but don't participate

amazed at people at the hydro shop, where they are not even involved with anything on the net

what do you need to know that isn't already on here.. cobbs are producing less.. DIY is better.. lens systems still reign supreme for buying.. everyone waits for 200 lumen a watt chips

I was looking for LEDs for my micro box I built. I ended up getting two 36w E27 "grow spots", they were a total waste of money and everything I put under them stops growing completely and turns purple. I also bought a 25w E27 spot that had 4 white cobs, it's pretty bright and could probably support a small plant, but the light is bulky and has a really small footprint. I now have my eyes on the single cob grow lights, supposedly the 200w version has about 110w power consumption (according to the seller), they're only 3½ inches tall, so they'd be perfect for my micro box, but I'm worried they're just as bad as the 36w spots. Does anyone have any experience with the single cob lights, such as THIS ONE ?

[edit] I also had a 240w Blackstar, it wasn't very good, so I'm hesitant about investing on the 100w Blackstar UFO type light.

^ any cobb is going to do less then a lens system.. right now. I would account that for worse bins / massive heat generated on such a small area killing light a little

if you were doing a small setup, I would go DIY. cree Xm-l2 and kill anything you can buy, time comes, switch out to better chips in 2 years.
