1KW, 5x5, 8 plants, coco

What are you guys thoughts on running 1KW in a 5x5 area with 8 plants in coco? I was thinking of doing a vertical donut, but wandering if horizontal would be as effective given my growing circumstances? Thoughts?

What are your growing circumstances? I do 6 18-20' plants in 2 gal pots in a 4x4 tray
