Your ref is more related to Hash or extracts I think .
Once the trich is penetrated decomposition is accelerated . Pristine trichs on flowers are a lot more resilient .

I noticed smoother buds when I accidentally left a branch hanging in my flower room.. and they were GOLD. no green .they deff dried to fast.. but once broken up u could smell it hard.. but.. still I think drying ur buds in HID light.. will degrade shit..

I will do a test next harvest.. I just flipped to flower today.. so 1 plant will be dried with a CFL lighting the room.. to try to get those GOLD buds we saw back in the day..

we will take a joint of each.. pre rolled so the testers have no clue about which is which.. and then see how the 5 people think they match up .but ive noticed that u cant go by wat u READ. gota go by others experience and your own.. because the books were written by someone who thinks they know it all. and if u remember .. weed was lied about for decades .. so im sure theres tons of mis info.. in the growers bibles.

Hmm do you dry your herb for two years ?
The study showed if you leave the dry herb or extract unjarred for two years it would degrade .
No stats re how the herb reacts directly after harvest to sunlight or darkness.

And yes they are talking about extracts ?

Solutions of pure cannabinoids, nine samples of herbal and two of resin cannabis (one freshly prepared) were stored in varying conditions for up to 2 years.

Let me add when I talk about Sun drying I`m not talking about mid day Sun in Summer .Rather in a place shaded from the mid day Sun during Autumn / Winter getting morning and evening light .
