What a great season.
Not much resting going on over here.
Here is the garden 11/30.
The weather has been nice and sunny. The rains have not come yet.
Its been a dry harvest.

The chain saw is needed to cut the stalks.

The garden cleaned up and ready for spring.

Things are wrapping up FINALLY!
We took a little well deserved time off and have been back at it.
Its a non stop job, never really ends does it?

The ganja has cured up nicely and is now being put into storage.

How long does it get stored? I would imagine you would want to get rid of most it right away right? In a perfect world i guess.

I'm acquainted with a number of people that store the whole years big leafed harvest in bins to be brought out for a June trim party... too much hustle and bustle in October, they say. For %90 of the people I know that's just not financially possible.. sounds fun, though

certain strains need to be dumped quickly as they suffer from oxidation worse than others. chem4 for example, and some of my sours have me worried. others like Blue Dream can be stored easily all year, and its probably best because prices are super low right now, wait until the summer and you can get an extra 3-400 a LB, and when you multiply that by 100s definitely adds a little incentive to wait it out.

I don't have a nitro sealer but i heard about some iron pellets that some people put into their packs that helps fight oxidation. maybe someone can shed more light on that..

i have so much kief lying around, gotta try that toaster oven trick. looks like some great full melt. also in full hash making mode over here, pretty much have to when you got rubber maids upon rubber maids full of popcorn and shake.

you can use olive oil in chainsaws.

Smart hippies inoculate the olive oil with mushroom spores as has been suggested by a certain leading mycologist.

(If the loggin companies would do this, they'd get extra crops out of their forests)

For longer term storage are you guys using gasketed containers, t bags, foodsavers?

Post harvest update.

Now I have the long awaited #'s .

It took 7 people 4 weeks to trim .
And 2 people another 2 weeks to finalize.
So about 6-8 weeks total.
It took us 4 long days to vac-save .
Shit never ends I tell ya.

We averaged 5# per plant in the 800's.
and about 4# per plant in the 400's.
The biggest was romulan grapefruit x mendo dream @ #8.5.

2014 just around the corner we are getting busy over here.
