my criticisms are very valid and not of the MMPR in this case, but specifically of PNP, if your defense is as such you reveal you have no real defense, nor I suspect would PNP.

i have a idea 3 dollar grams are not going to be weeds folks look forward to getting.

no point in feeding these east-coast hoser, beast smoking, LP defending trolls...

they smoke low grade headache inducing pot on the best of days, and are clearly excited about this type of stuff being mailed to their door legally.

this is exactly why the MMPR system is being set up for cash cow east-coast beast smokers

Seems to me there's some excitement about $6 grams going to the sick for 50% off, if you can prove hardship...$3/gr would be a tough pull for most working people with good to very good yearly incomes.

I will use my daughter as an example.

She makes a yearly income of $50k. I'm sure most people would agree this is a average, to slightly above average income. Now, take away 50% for income taxes and other government deductions(EI, Pensions, etc.) and another 5% for sales, property and all other hidden taxes. That leaves 45% of the $50,000 to live on, which is $22,500.00 as usable cash.

Here comes the fun part:

Rent 1000.00/month = $12000.00/yr
Utilities $350/month(hydro, heat, internet, etc.) = $4200/yr
Food/$100/wk = $5200.00/yr
Entertainment/$100/wk = $5200.00/year
Car payment $500/month = $6000.00/yr
Fuel/wk $80.00 for Car = $4160.00/yr
Clothing $150/month = $1800.00/yr

This is a reasonable break down of her monthly necessary expenses, with luxuries such as vacations, credit cards, fancy dinners out, etc., not included(most of your fun stuff).

The final total is $38560.00...almost double her usable cash.

Lets stop all the "back patting" for being a good guy with reasonable pricing crap. Doesn't matter what nice guy price they charge, it's a cost, non of us will be able to pay, even if we could stay under the allowable maximum of 150 grams per month. I have grown my own Medical MJ legally for the last 8 years. In those 8 years, I have had a few months that I had "To rob Peter To pay Paul" and this was when I was working full time as a foreman in construction. I am now going onto Disability of under $2000.00 per month. I can juggle my monthly money around to pay for my own home grown Medical MJ, but I will never be able to find the cash necessary to purchase from a LP, and I believe, neither will anybody else...working or not.

Nice guy prices are always a introductory offer. Kinda like BJ's before marriage...usually just an introductory offer, that soon fades once you've been married for awhile to the special occasion category. It would be a shame for that to happen to Medical MJ.

Peace...B

I understand what your saying Buddha.

Everyone I know that is applying for the MMPR LP believes that patients should be allowed to grow their own meds. I think it's criminal to take away the right to grow for yourself. Lets be clear though, it was the government that introduced the MMPR. It is their agenda.

If the Conroy injunction doesn't work, then the next step is to have a criminal case challenged. I know for sure that there are lawyers waiting for the opportunity to get into court to battle for a 5-6 plant allowance for patients with the right case to work with. I've talked to one of the best lawyers in the business on this issue. He believes this is how the patients will get some of their rights back.

So although the situation sucks, does it hurt to post some positive news?
$3/g is a lot better than 9-12 milled and irradiated !!

Honestly most growers should be able to ride out the first yr on storage bud alone easily.

Im only running 21 plants with 4k in lights before that with 15 plants...

Ill be shutting down(there is always outdoor)...but with 3 varieties in storage, extracts, RSO even(never know with the big C), etc. I figure I am due for a vacation.

No watering, no trimming, just medicating..

see what happens...if I can get bud for a buck a gram that is quality....i'd buy that for a dollar.

My advise for those continuing to grow.... go 1 plant 1 light...hope for the best...don't run more than 1400W....400 veg, 1k bud...and hope you have a buddy with nice cuts...lol

and keep a lawyers card handy

I can't argue with that.

Just pisses me off that I have the skill and equipment, but not the right.

That is exactly what I will be doing, as soon as the heat is off...I'll be growing my own meds again.

I will not be able to only use 1400 watts and 1 plant for my meds, I need 10+ grams a day. I will be using the exact set up as I do now, only I will be growing 6 trees, instead of 50 little bushes. Fingers crossed I'm not the legal test rat, but if I am, so be it...I'm on disability now so I can get legal aid to pay my legal fees.

I refuse to be robbed by LP's or go back on Pharmaceuticals like the government is suggesting. Besides, once my medical plan banked hours are used up, there will be no more medical plan. I won't be able to afford either, the LP's or the Pharmaceuticals from the Doc.

This new MMPR just screws everyone like me.

its ridiculous to make math examples showing people who cant support themselves and use that as support saying 6 or 3 dollars a gram is still too high, its not logical. they couldnt support themselves anyway, the price of drugs is moot.

But we are supporting ourselves with the mmar program the government isn't funding my grow room my prescription drug insurance isn't paying for my meds and im saving money on the small deductibles im not paying for oxys and dilaudid .

Math examples and graphs are in fact what me we need to see more . People that have no stake in this should be clued in as to what is really happening

Does one have to sign up with these firms to get equal representation? A few news articles indicated that it wasn't necessary, curious what the benefit is?

You have some points for sure, but will you give them credit for selling at $3/g to the most needy?

Apparently the $3/g deal is limited to one gram per day.

I guess it makes for a great sound bite and line for the press and marketing, not so much for the downtrodden...

Still only the 3 names on the list tho....

Where are these 250 LP's who have applied...that website list should be growing....yet things are still pretty stagnant.

Are the LP's worried about injunctions (pipe dreams IMHO)...or do they want to see how badly the first few starters do? Or how well ?
