Optimum Ph for water in soil

So i always thought the best pH range when watering to be 5.5-6.3 after reading different resources over the last few years this was the conclusion we reached but tonight we came across and article and chart portraying that optimum range for soil to be 6.3-6.8.

All of the essential and non essential nutrient required for cannabis to grow can adequately be absorbed in this range but it is the first time I have come across it and i am curious to know if anyone has had any experience using higher pH during their watering when growing in soil. right now our fluctuates from the 6.2-6.4 range for moms and veg plants, definitely interested in hearing some feedback.

It also depends on what your soil consists of....I put some coconut(15%) in my soil so i make sure my ph is a hair lower, and use little extra cal/mag.
But if u are just giving them straight water you not adjusting it are you??

In soil the optimal PH is 6.5-7, at this PH the plant is able to fully absorb every nutrient for the most part.

If your in soil and using clean some what pure water I would forget about PH and get together a good soil mix.

Green life had it right on. It all depens on what your soil consist of.
But general rule proven by many grows on many occasion

6.3-6.8 for soil
6.0-6.3 - for soilless media
I never grew in hydro so I can only tell you what google provides (you can look that up)
But the numbers above are the numbers I used for two years.
