getting clones from someone who has had spidermites?

Hi all I was just wondering what you all thought. I know a grower who has a few great cuts and was going to get a few from him. He's had a significant setup in great shape for months, no signs of bugs. Here's the thing... he had a spidermite infestation a while back and had to tear everything down and start over. Since then no signs of bugs, so he feels there are no risk of bugs. Am I stupid to get cuts from him? Is there a significant risk that the mites are still there, just not thriving enough to be noticed?

:dance013:I would try something like Azamax or another anti-spider mite solution.

In a quarantined area.

Good Luck

If its been a few months and all is good I would but still quarantine until you know for sure you don't have mites.

OGBIOWAR Foliar contains a custom mix of biological controls which includes, but is not limited to Bacillus sp., Beauveria sp., Metarhizium sp. And Verticillium sp.
Make a batch of tea using ewc or ancient earth and you'l have the same thing in the end.

Not even close. You will just have a compost tea with what you listed. OGBIOWAR is not a compost tea. It inoculates the leaf surface with fungal spores, and then the fungal spores grow on the critters, killing them. You can see the pictures of it on the product page of our site.

Earth Worm Castings, and forest humus won't do that. They are good applied as a tea though. :)

Defiantly quarantine ! I would stick the clone in like a Rubbermaid container with a no pest strip.. Leave it in there for a week spray it with some neem and whatever else u got.. I am just getting rid of those little bastards.. I would have to say that the hot shot no pest strip help enormously. Those little fuckers are hard to see and kill but can be done..

I didn't know ogbiowar killed broad mites good to know has cap confirmed this? It's good stuff I use all 3 the root and mute packs are worth every penny. I've seen what it does to root aphids and most everything else.

It is a mix of 10 different biological controls. I don't have the full list in front of me. I have seen it work first hand on broad mites. It works on the first application if done right.

Neem.

I have brought KNOWN infected plants home, and straight wrecked their little asses with a twice weekly spray of neem oil!

Don't use cheap solvent extracted neem, cold pressed first extraction stuff is best.

Einstein oil is my favorite. Dilute a tablespoon into a spray bottle is warm water with about a teaspoon of soap like Dr Bronners Castile soap ( I like the peppermint ) as an emulsifier. Spray your plants lightly from the bottom up so as to get the bottom of the leaves where the mites hide.

Not sure about broad mites, as I've never had them. But they are a plague that I've avoided?,...... Maybe there's something there.

And I know for damned certain neem wrecks root aphids as well!
