Looking to know about Turkey

So an opportunity came, and I know now that I'll be heading to Istambul for some months from February onwards. I know by some readings that the qualitiy of the stash varies a lot (and that hash prevails) and the genetics grown there are quite mixed. As a daily smoker (for medicinal and recreative use) I was wondering what were the best places to look and score some stash around the city (I've found some places on both european and asian sides of the city that are "hot" but i'm always ready to listen your hints).

Any information and advices about areas of the country, genetics, etc, will be gladly taken as I would like to bring back home some seeds to some humble projects of mine that I'm thinking of starting.

I grew up in Turkey, wonderful people...DO NOT try to look for hash/weed, regardless of what you see on the net about its availability, its simply not worth it, our community used to collect food, blankets and such for westerners that were imprisoned in our city (mainly for drugs) and let me assure you, you do not want to risk being put in that situation. I think about going back to get seeds as well, I lived in the country for 15 + years and know the place well, have friends there etc, and still I don't feel like its a good risk...To be sure you have "Turkish genetics", you'd need to travel far to the east, into territory that's been essentially a warzone for the last 20 years(between the Turkish government and the PKK) There are good reasons why you don't see Turkish genetics listed in seed bank offerings anywhere heh...Anyhow, I'm sure you'll enjoy Turkey regardless of whether you're stoned or straight, between the historical sites and natural beauty, Turkey has plenty to offer anyone
