blynx, i don't see you attach the wires to the pot in much extent, so how do you train actually?
i'd guess you attach the branches to each other? (can't notice that on the pics but there is no other way, eh?).
also, do you use the pliers any more or was it just the initial stage when branching was hard and sturdy?

nice

I used a couple long twist ties to hold down the plants at the beginning, but I didn't use anymore. Overall I really don't use a lot of wires to train plants.

I really do most of the training by pinching the stems. I look at it like a 3d puzzle when I'm pinching the stems. I not only try to prevent fallen over (due to pinching) branches from touching, but also try to do it in a way that opens up some area to the bud sites down lower. You also have to keep in mind how hard to crush the stem. Sometimes I crush the stem really hard if i want it to stay horizontal or lower. Else I might lightly crush the stem to slightly slow growth of that stem and allow lower growth to receive more light.

I hardly ever use the pliers to pinch the stems. They are only used when I'm trying to crush really hard woody stems, which isn't very often.

I went out of town for a week and didn't get any second week flowering pics, so we'll jump ahead another week.

I notice you have strips of reflective tape above each bulb. Is there a reason why you didn't make the entire ceiling of the cab reflective?

The ceiling is painted flat white. That's what I use for reflecting light.

The tape above the lights is metal ducting tape and the reasoning at the time was for heat reflection, not light reflection. I was hoping it would help prevent the wood right above the lights from getting real hot by preventing the absorption of a bunch of direct heat. I figured the fans would work better keeping the cab cool if the heat was reflecting back somewhat into the air, than if the ceiling absorbed a bunch of heat, spread it over the entire ceiling and then radiated it back along with the lights.

That was the theory, but honestly I don't have evidence one way or the other whether its doing what I hoped it would lol.

Mmmmmmm c99.....I miss that pineapple smell!

The pheno I kept of this cross, C99 x Shire (SSSDH), has no pineapple or fruit smell to it.

The C99 mom is the pineapple pheno. 'Dad' was a nanner from the Shire cut, so they produced female seeds. I started two of these seeds and flowered them both out. One had a fruity C99ish smell but since I had a pineapple C99 I tossed that plant. The plant that I kept has a kinda sugary smell and then you smell Shire (SSSDH) cut smell.

I see. My c99 from female smelled like pineapple until about a week before harvest. It turned to that sugary smell.
