if I have a source of energy from a diesel generator...

Anything with a Kubota in it will work great. Also, if you are using a genny for your 24/7 power source - you should change the oil weekly and belts/filters monthly.

if I want have one grow with 10 kw how many batteries i need to have for reserve in one rain day and if is possible have those batteries in home?
I don't think running a 10k from solar power is viable. You can do the calculations, but if it were me I'd just assume you would need way too many batteries as well and write it off; I'm guessing like thousands of dollars worth of expensive deep cycle batteries.

If you are going to run off a gen., it has to be a 1800rpm water cooled diesel. Dont get a Chinese one, get a Japenese or American made one. They should go 15000 to 25000 hours before anything major goes wrong. Get one twice the size of the watts you will run, and big ACs will make your lights flicker when they kick on. I pay .32 cents kw for electricity, the gen. electricity is not much more than that, of course it goes up and with price of diesel. Change oil/filters at least once a month, and have a backup gen.(mandatory!) Oh yea, and min. one mile to nearest neighbors with a bad ass shed with only exhaust and radiator going out. And I dont know what im talking about.

Yes they are loud, big ones are expensive, they can be put in a building or enclosure but you need air intake an exhaust.

gas is most efficient, followed by natural gas and then propane. I think propane would be easier to use tho especially if hooked up to a large tank.

Propane burns cleaner and has a long shelf life compared to diesel or gas which can go bad if not used fast enough.

wow, you opened my eyes, natural gas generator...not a bad idea

Stay away from regular gas for long term generator usage. They work find when they are running. They won't last nearly as long as a diesel. Just moved out to the country again and have been looking at them for power outages, etc. Looked at them real hard a while back while looking at off grid properties. Natural gas and propane are great for using especially if you have a hookup at your home. But explaining large amounts of either of the 2 to the gas delivery guy or your gas company would need to be creative at most.

It will still cost thousands but "industrial batteries" aka very large expensive batteries would be my choice for something on that scale.

Just tell the delivery driver you enjoy driving your cat around the property while building deadfalls for the zombie apocalypse.

Dont be scared away from gen set growing, just if you are going to do it do it right. Do some research and make sure you have a solid plan. It costs just about as much for diesel as pge. Usually is a bit cheaper and the cost of the gen set is just the price you pay for privacy. Make sure you set it up right from the start and you should be golden. Be prepared for nightmares. Move to an area where your neighbors are doing the same thing, so they will be less likely to want to call on you. Bigger the parcel the better. Tip the diesel guy well! Not going to type numbers here, but lets just say if you want to go big indoors this is the safest(attention wise) way to do it hands down. Deps is the best for profit imo, but with recent crack downs may be safer not to have a big shiny thing sticking out on your property. Lots of dep scenes going down this year...

convert this 400 volts in 220 volts?

Could be more efficient and cheaper longterm to use the Philips 400v 3 phase digital ballasts and specified bulb and industrial fans , some dutch glasshouses generate their leccy from gas drilled on site and use the CO2 exhaust to good effect.

The Growing your profits pdf is worth a read from the Philips website.

Solar + wind would be an ideal long term investment, some deep cycle industrial batteries can last over 20 years. Payback in less than 5 years with a good price and equipment. Best I would say is to use a greenhouse and supplement with lights, reducing those costs for solar/batteries as well.

Yes, I use a diesel generator. We are a department store and we use 600kw HF&HX series diesel generator. This brand generator produces less noise and has a good performance. Ours looks like this one.
