Problems under 1000 watt in veg

Ok, I'm dealing with multiple issues. At the top of the list are root aphids... one of the consequences of my ra infestation is that my plants in the veg room seem to do terribly once i move them under 1000 watt mh. They stay dark green with leaves reaching under t5's... then soon after moving them under the 1000 watters they quickly yellow out and the leaves curl under a bit as well as severe purpling of the stems. they snap out of it after a couple of weeks in flower. should i convert veg room to t5's only? I'm running a scrop so only need the plants 2ft tall tops. any ideas why the aphids behave like this leaving the plants under t5's unaffected?

Are you hardening them off to the light and increasing the feed when you throw them under 1000's?
Whats the temp and RH like? That will influence transpiration/uptake under... especially under intense lighting

I think what's happening is the root system is stressed due to the aphids and they're not ready for 1000 watts. Temp is 75, rh is 40%. I'm gonna raise the lights higher and leave them under t5's longer. Hopefully get these aphids taken care of and get back on track... but that is probably easier said than done!

If they snap out of it in a few weeks I would assume its more likely to be that they are in shock when being switched to the flower room, than for them to "snap out of" root aphid problems.
Just my opinion.
Theres probably a few issues besides the RA's than need to be addressed.
Your RH and temps are a bit low for stretch for example. I run mine at 80 and let the RH go up to 75% if I can. Damn Gavita burns off all the humidity my AC doesnt take out though. Gotta get another one for sure! Fucking sweet ass light homie

I was running my temp at 82 and rh at 70%... what happened was with when the weather turned cold outside I ran into mold issues in my veg room. Had to "unseal" my room and exchange air in order to bring rh down to a level where the mold on the walls wouldn't spread. Come to think of it that's about the time my plants under 1000w took a turn for the worse. I attributed it to ra and the treatments I was giving them but found it strange that the plants under t5's were fine. I think you solved the mystery for me... shock due to too much light and too low temp/rh. Since I'm stuck with having to keep rh low for winter I might just veg longer under t5's and see if I can get away with that for now.

If you have mold in the walls you have much bigger problems.
Sounds like you need to sanitize the entire space and kill the RA's.
