What we did was we had 5 inch rockwool cubes with expanded clay pellets inbetween. but. when we had to move everything... we just left the clay pellets out. because they were un needed. and its cleaner WAY WAY WAY cleaner without em. its so easy to flood the table... then just drain it a few hours later...

hey to each his own i always say. The ladies have flourished much more since removing the clay pebbles and changing up the watering pattern and what not, but this way seems to work best with the set up that is going.
