Nice work, great internodal spacing. You still going to use the screen?

Undecided. The spacing is really small, not too sure the screen is going to do much. Depends on how much stretch is left. Can't lower it much or I won't have any space between it and the soil to work. I am open to any and all suggestions about this, of all the info I read about LST & SCRoG, none said much about trying to work a tiny plant like this.

nice grow, great box, that's real class.

:thank you: all, the kind words really mean alot to a noob like myself!

COMING SOON: I am going to add 4 more bulbs to the lower corners of the box so all the budsites gets enough light. I'll leave the LED's & 2 5K's up top, everything else will be 2700. That's over 25,000 lumens...
Also need to get the scrubber together, the smell is beginning to be real noticeable... :muahaha:

I see what ya mean about size to work with...after stretch your gonna be packed.

I'd ditch the screen for this grow myself. Poke a few holes around the top of your container and tie a few outside branches down.

KNOT's and Blynx scrog in small quarters....but they have a pretty good idea how their plants will react (to training/stretch/etc.)

...I'm watching regardless of what you do. So just have fun n' do what you feel like doing.

Paying heed to the advice of those more experienced, I removed the screen, just going to do LST for this one. Also changed 8 of the 10 bulbs to 2700K and added 4 more in the lower corners. Total of 12 @ 2700 & 2 @ 5K - all 23W/1600L ea. + 2 6500K LED @ 18W/1350L ea. = 358W/25,100L

w00, all that light you're sure to have a nice yield. although for energy savings i would turn off like half those lights. a bit overkill for just one plant.

I had read that it was ideal to have between 7000 to 10000 lumens per square foot. This arrangement gives 8367.

that's a bit overkill, i was sure i read in a study done by some well known breeder that 3000 was good enough. i just use the 50w/sqft rule. how big is your box? i don't recall you ever saying. the plant is in a cut off kitty liter bucket right? with the way you're growing you don't really need the side lighting. all up top would benefit you more.

I was going by info posted in the CFL Club thread here.

About 2ft W by 2ft H by 1.5ft D.

Yep, about 6in tall.

The density of this little girl is what made me consider the side lights to begin with, but I will consider what you've said. Real world advice is why I'm here!

I wouldn't worry about too much light, unless it affects the plant negatively, which is obviously not happening. Hey man, you're doin' it!!!

I'm of the "overkill is underrated" frame of mind. As long as you can keep your temps in check more lighting is better in my opinion.

I ran a vertical NTF system before and can say from my experience that light/plant placement is more important then just "more light". So that being said...

Get your plant up closer to those top lights for now and lower them as they grow. I think CFL's are a great asset to cab's and micro grows...but they don't penetrate the canopy worth a shit.

When are you gonna switch to 12/12?

more light is good sure, but theres no need to waste all that energy heating up the side of the pot. most of your lights are below the top of the pot...what's the point?
