I didn't see suarez playin for Madrid last year but this year he's really showing and shining over Liverpool. They can't keep him and when he goes its gonna be $150 million for 7 years. But, who says he going to Madrid? Barca, Man U, Milan, Monaco, Chelsea all have deep pockets.

Suarez is from Uruguay. I think Liverpool can afford him but i think he would like to get money + join a team that has a better chance at winning it all.

lol that was on purpose, great :D

a few months ago the craziest news of football related violence came from Brasil:

Last Sunday, an amateur soccer match in Brazil came to an unbelievably gruesome end when a referee was murdered by outraged fans. His head was then cut off and placed on a spike. The beheading was retaliation; the ref initially stabbed a player to death.

It happened in the Maranhão region of northeastern Brazil. Thirty-year-old Josenir dos Santos Abreu approached the referee, 20-year-old Otávio Jordão da Silva (pictured above) during a match to argue a call. Abreu reportedly threw a punch at da Silva, who then took out a knife he was carrying with him during the match, and stabbed the player. Abreu died of his wounds en route to the hospital.

Meanwhile, the player's friends and family invaded the pitch and attacked da Silva. They reportedly tied up the referee, beat him, stoned him, lynched him, and then quartered him. When they finished, they cut off his head and placed it on a stake in the center of the field.

So far, just one man, 27-year-old Luis Moraes Souza, has been arrested for the crime, and authorities are searching for two more. Valter Costa, the chief of police in Maranhão's town of Santa Ines, spoke in a statement. “Reports of witnesses have indicated some people that were in place at the time of the fact," he said. "We will identify and hold accountable all those involved. A crime will never justify another. Actions like this do not collaborate with the legality of a state law.”

If you must, here is a link to a video showing da Silva's body, decapitated and all, after he was killed. But, we're warning you, it's extremely gruesome.

Its not good news I agree, Refs should be respected and honored for their work. But, Brazil the nation is kinda going thur a form of capitalist revolt. There have been incedences of violence against the state for funding various constructions projects in antisipation of the WorldCup but no funding for housing for the poor. I plan on attending Brazil but I will be careful not to wonder alone or without some protection while I'm there.

Just saw Suarez score another goal, he's making it look easy!

Villas-Boar is fired as Tottenham coach, I never liked anything about his teams. He will never be the "specialone" lol

Instant Replay Officiating is Killing Major American Sports.
There, I said it.

This year, I happened to watch an entire match on TV for the first time (Seattle Sounders MLS playoff game). I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Even though the Sounders lost, I enjoyed the tension. And then I realized one huge reason why: no instant replay officiating to totally destroy the flow of the game and excitement.
