Grand Terrace; Honey Hills is off Barton Road Roughly NorthEast near the city line to Colton. You'll probably find it listed in the G.T. listings.

Reche Canyon is actually in the City of Colton (part of it) and the county of Riverside and extends to San Bernardino County too (stay out of any other areas of Colton); It is the only Canyon with Reche Canyon Road going thru it. It goes from Riverside Count to San Bernardino. Look on the North side of Reche Canyon road. If you go there, you'll notice the other side of the street is lower and flooding has been a problem, years ago, on the
South or Riverside City side of the road.
I haven't priced homes there lately, I built a home there 35 years ago--it doesn't appear to be for sale though.

In Grand Terrace, I'd stay above Michigan Avenue and look in the area above that area called;(NorthEast) Highgrove..and I bet you'll like that area the best. There are tons of new and very nice homes, as well. I grew up in Highgrove! Love that place, but a new High School just went in, or I'd be living there. The homes East of Michigan are fairly new and Very Nice! Use to be tons of orange groves there.

To this day i can drive thru that area and have conversations with folks i went to school with or their children. I think you'll like the people in that area. The hills separate Highgrove from Canyon Crest. Frankly, I'd live there before Canyon Crest, now. I did some driving around the area a couple of months ago--I do love that area.

Look in the areas of the foothills, those are the better places to live around there! Happy House Hunting! There are realtors that are MMJ friendly too! I do not know one personally though, some advertise at the 'center.' And those areas are pretty good for mmj Access too!

I must admit, I love where I live best! But with your heart issues, those areas are literally "minutes" from Loma Linda Univ. Hosp with a major heart center and the level I trauma center for the area-- next door. :artist: jpt

The entire IE is fairly windy and subject to high winds. Just so you are warned. I just realized, i found it rather annoying. It is much worse from Banning to Indio, too--and stinky in the evenings throughout the Palm Springs area to Indio; dead fish smell from Salton Sea.

Look for homes and areas with few Palm Trees, the debris is a disaster in itself.

From Ontario to Redlands--windy. San Bernardino Mountains and Highland to Santa Ana (thru Corona) are pretty windy. Moreno Valley thru Perris. They call it the Santa Ana winds along the Santa Ana river (dry) and the basin around it.

The area from Redlands almost to Beaumont has the least wind, surprisingly--hardly noticeable. and infrequent. And the housing is cheaper. Try to find newer housing, it meets the earthquake standards and most have energy efficiency.

On Sundays the newspaper Press Enterprise lists homes sold and price ranges for most of the area. Next time i go to the store I'll pick up a "magazine' of housing available. They publish and stick them in the markets There is one area with new housing I think would be perfect for your price range and desires. And I'll ask about broadband service. The service is 'spotty' in most areas, anyway. jpt

The are about 3 miles from it closer to Canyon Crest near the foothills is far enough away from the high school and all schools. The homes are pretty large further away from the school. I don't need or want a large home--which puts me too close to the high school. All those areas are very low crime and quiet little communities. jpt
