Made RSO today for the 1st time..

My Dad has stage 1 kidney cancer.My Mom died from lung cancer 2 years ago not wanting to try RSO.I used 620$ worth of cannabis which composed of this 1 oz of local homegrown called "Creeper" and 1oz of 6 of the following strains..Platinum jack,Jorges Diamonds,White Russian,Thai Fantasy and Excile.I did Everclear 190 proof alcohol extraction.I used my grinder and ground up buds,never using my hands.I put it into large glass jar and added Everclear till it was covered.I did 3 washed total wringing it out each time.I used a brand new Rival Rice Cooker and boiled it down using a Laser temp gun to keep the temps from getting too high.Solvent boiled off quicly and added the slwoly bubbling mix to 2 pyrex cups and put them on a hot plate till it bubbled down to a thick black oil.Lady Pharmacist gave me 6 needleless syringes for free and I filled all 6 and used 2 pieces of bread and a few buds to sop up rest.My Dad starts RSO treatment tonight.If this works and I am documenting everything I will be Johnny Cannabis seed come spring and give it free to as many who need it locally as I can.I am psyched as this stuff is potent as hell.Peace and One Love...BigD

I just pulled a syringe out of freezer and it came out exactly how it does on Ricks "How to" video-thick and greasy and a piece about the size of a grain of rice numbed my lips and gave me a hell of a sleepy buzz..Rams play tonight better not get too sleepy.I documented everything so medicine beware you are about to be called out..Peace BigD

Sorry to hear the word cancer. We just lost my mother in law to cancer, after a 6 year fight. She was old school, and wouldn't use the vaporizer or buds we gave her very often. She was just stuck on the illegality. I was fully intending to make RSO for her, but she was unwilling to try it.
Please do document your results. Obviously wishing your Dad the best.
My Dad died in 1997, from brain cancer. When I read the studies that show brain tumor death, or at least significant reduction, resulting from THC injection, it makes me very angry. I hate playing "What if?", but 16 years after he died, I still do.
If the science finally shows, in open, repeatable studies, that cannabis cures cancer, there need to be trials, and swift justice for those who kept it illegal for so long.

I'm all ready to make my first batch with 1 oz of different strains of indica. No idea which ones, but they are dark. Got what I could get and that's what I got. Found a vid on youtube where a woman makes a 1 oz batch in her kitchen using a sort of dutch oven style on the stove. That is the way I think I am going to do it, but I've been finding other tips like putting the bud in the freezer and also heard of putting it in the oven for 10 min at 300 degrees to carboloxilate it (whatever that word is - sorry). Not sure if I should do this or not. Any opinions? I'll be using 190 proof ever clear. Just very nervous about this first batch. I don't have a temp gauge, but the dutch oven method, I don't think requires it. Also nervous about the smell. Gotta do this late at night so neighbors aren't aware. Best of luck to all attempting this for the first time. I just gotta do it and get it over with.

I did it for the first time a few weeks ago.

Freeze the buds if using alcohol; In fact, FREEZE everything you use including the Everclear. Something about reducing the amount of plant material removed and making the trichomes a bit easier to separate from the bud. I used a rice cooker and with the everclear it wasn't so noticeable outside with neighbors.

Well at 1st my dad was getting major stoned on the oil.As a matter of fact it put him in ER with vertigo and on way he puked all over me.We halved his dose and he seems to be tolerating it well.I think the oil is helping my diabetes really as when I use Humalog at meals I am getting low blood sugar so bad that I literally crawled to fridge to find some sugar.I froze all weed and all everclear and the jars used before I did the wash.

You are doing the correct thing sir, I am awed by you wisdom to make this oil to heal your loved ones. There is no feeling like saving the life of someone you love!


RSO works miracles for cell mutations and inflammation. It is not a lie, Rick Simpson Oil IS the most therapeutically active substance on the planet and I can prove it.

First off you must make the oil properly with only the best buds. Once you have the oil, most everyone knows someone that has skin tags. Skin tags are fleshy cell mutations and I guarantee that RSO will remove any skin tag in around a weeks time, with no scar or trace the tag was ever there. You just put the oil directly on the skin tag, then cover it with a waterproof bandaid.

RSO does the same thing to cancer cells as it does to skin tags. It turns off the mutated cells ability to reproduce, then it kills the mutated cells. RSO is the real deal. I'm guessing he is approaching on a "green out".... Quite unpleasant....but if you go thru it in your sleep....less ssues I have found....tho u do sleep quite deeply and dreams are interesting.

Just a thought.... that if he could sleep thru the worst of the green out, it be more tolerable.

I have been making and ingesting RSO for about a year and a half. Here are some of my observations:

When my oil is too thick, or too contaminated with plant matter, I winterize it by redissolving the oil with Everclear in 10x the weight of the oil, leaving it in the freezer for 48 hours, and restraining it. You will be surprised at how much plant matter residue is left in your coffee filter. You will also be surprised at how much cleaner your finished product is.

I use a $150 water distiller to cook off my oil, thus saving about 70 - 80% + of my alcohol. The water distiller has the added advantage of decarboxylating the cannabinoids to make your finished product nearly 100% activated. This has been shown in 2 separate tests done by Analytical 360 in Seattle.

I have made oil from 2 different strains - Kali and a strain that was falsely sold to me as Harlequin. The Kali strain tested (oil) at 66% THC and 0.3% CBD. I only take the oil at bedtime and have worked up my tolerance over 18 months from the recommended 1/2 rice grain size to about 2 rice grains size. Where I used to get between 4 to 6 hours of sleep a night, I now get a solid 8 hours. My only complaint is that this amount of nightly sleep has really screwed up my afternoon nap time, where I now only usually read, but rarely sleep any more. Even though this seems like a small amount of CBD in this strain, it produces a fairly mellow high that is mostly tolerable.

The "Harlequin" that I took months to grow, and considerable effort to make oil from has turned out to be 'Anti-Harlequin' in that it tested out (oil) at 77% THC with only .01% CBD. I took some of this oil before I tested it for my nightly regimen in a similar dose as the Kali oil and I barely made it to the toilet for my middle-nightly piss call. It left me totally disoriented and bouncing off the walls.

I am now growing another 'Harlequin' plant obtained from Cloneville in Seattle that the owner of the shop swears up and down is the 'real deal'. It is just going into flower, so it is a couple of months away from being turned into oil. Harlequin is supposed to be about 8% CBD to 6% THC, so I am very hopeful that I can tolerate this oil in much higher dosages in case I ever get a cancer such as your dad has and need to get something more from my oil beyond a good nights sleep. If Charlotte, the little girl in the Sanjay Gupta documentary entitled 'Weed', is any indication, I should be on the right track. My point in all above is that higher CBD should mean less THC disorientation. However, I believe THC is also a healer, so I wouldn't want to grow and produce only oil, such as 'Charlotte's Web' with almost no THC at all. This may be good for children with epilepsy, but it seems that THC cures many illnesses as well - according to Rick Simpson. Also, according to the owner of Cloneville, Charlotte's Web is the same strain called AC/DC that comes from California. The Cloneville owner says he will have some of this shortly. I will buy a couple of clones of this, make oil from it, and mix it with my existing oil to raise the CBD level so the THC is tolerable.

BTW, would someone explain to me why using unbleached coffee filters is so imperative. Bleach is tolerable in septic systems and the human body in small amounts. It is even recommended to put a little bleach in drinking water if you're not sure if it is pure enough. It is also my understanding (and experience) that bleach dissipates into the atmosphere after a while. When I soak my hydroton balls in it for a few days, you can't even smell it anymore when you sieve them out and dry them off. I also use a lot of bleach in cleaning my hydroponic gear. I throw gallons of fairly strong bleach mixture on the grass without any affect at all. I'm all for 'organic', but within reason. We live in a compromised world and shouldn't be scared off by unwarranted fears. As Gray Wolf of Skunk Pharm says, "whether or not something is poison is all in the dosage".

Good luck to you and your dad. Try higher CBD strains to keep him out of the hospital (and puke off yourself)
