90% saturation at what temp? As I understand and please correct me if I am wrong water saturates at a different level depending on temperature. So 90% saturation at 68F would be around 9ppm? I cannot measure that as I haven't the equipment but just want to be sure I am understanding.

Yeah you are correct. You are over thinking this. I gave my air equation in my rdwc guide. If you use that amount of air, you will be fine from 65F - 80F. Ive tested these rates in the low 90s with success.

Gotcha. Just re-read that section. So currently I am running about 20gallons in my system x4= 80 liters I am running 70lpm air pump. Overkill :)

On a side note. On my other post about root aphids some have suggested killing my plants and starting over. I am wavering on this point and would appreciate your honest advice. Don't pullpunches please. Here are the plants in question. Approximately 11" each.

I dont know much about root aphids. Never had them. Did you try the neem oil in the rez? If you did, what rate per gallon did you use? Dont forget to add the wetting agent so it mixes. I use coco wet. Always use 100% Neem Oil or it wont be good. Did you talk to the ozzy guy?

seems I have the RA under control with hot water. The ozzy guy didn't have much opinion since he doesn't DWC. I have not tried it yet though.

Also I was just reading a thread that you chimed in on, the guy had overwatering and possibly ph problems. If I don't get enough DO in my RDWC my plants will show overwatering symptoms correct?

Yeah. You should really try the neem. At least on 1 plant. What do you have to lose. I killed hundreds of some type of beetles that were destroying my roses with neem.

Hey Benny according to my math those are 70 lpm which according to Snypes calcs for sizing air pumps would service 280 liter system or about 70 gallons. Unless I am too stoned and screwed the math looks like you aren't pushing enough air. What kinda stones are u using?

To my knowledge he has 2 of them and they each put out 60 lpm. So 2 of them put out 120 lpm.

Now he has 140 gal of solution which is 530 liters. My air formula calls for 265 lpm and he only has 120 lpm on those cheap high pressure pumps. No wonder his plants didnt make it. I like Alita pumps much better. Now how much you want to bet his water pumps are wrong? If they are right, the system will recirculate every 5 minutes. Smaller buckets are key. He will have to spend more money now when all he had to do is buy smaller buckets.

looks like I will have to pick up two more pumps when im at the hydro store.

Cool. Also remember that you dont want your system to recirculate much more than every 5 minutes as well. For the record, Alita air pumps use low pressure while your pumps use high pressure. I had your pumps. They ended up in the trash.

With all the money that you spent on your system, you could have built my 10 bucket system and been sitting on 4+ pounds. Now your are about to spend more on products that you probably wont even use again in the near future.

Wow those numbers really start to get outa control when you increase pot size. Hey Snype is the low pressure pump quiter? I think I have basically the same air pump as Benny and I hate it. Soooo loud.

Side note, my Vortex beans should be popping today :)

Yeah, the low pressure is more quiet but not as quiet as the general hydro dual manifold pump. The pump is a little small but seems ok for 4 of my buckets.

I for sure want to get some better air pumps or just one big ass linear pump. I first gotta make this all work before I can treat myself to the better gear...

New 4 in bloom are looking good. I did a lil defoliate action after I weaved'em into the screen. Currently E.C is at 0.9/450ppm and the plants are looking the best they ever have.

Once I get shit dialed, and find the sweet spot for E.C. things should starting coming together. Finding the correct ec swing and strength has been the largest challenge for me...lol
