Air conditioning question

Do any you guys who run AC units in your growrooms grow inside a cabinet or growtent and just cool the room the cabinet or growtent is in?

Or is the idea to run the AC unit inside the growing environment itself?

I'm gonna invest in an AC unit in the future and i'm growing in a roughly 8x6x8 tent so i'm wondering if i should set up the unit inside or outside the growtent also a big part of why i'm buying an AC unit is to lower humidity for my plants so i want to get the maximum dehumidifying effect possible as well as lowering temps for my RDWC buckets in the summer.

Peace

I'd put the A/c outside the grow space but vent the cold air into the grow space

putting the AC in a window in the room with your box would be alot simpler and if you really needed to you could run some ducting from the AC to your intake. Lights will heat up so many degrees above ambient temp. If your rise is 10 degrees and your ambient temp is 65 thanks to the window AC your box should run at a cool 75.

sorry i missed the word growtent. mine is a room not tent so i put a port ac right in the room but if stealth was not an issue i would have used window unit or even better a vent off of central ac

You can do either really, but I prefer to have cabs in the room getting the air conditioning. Exhaust all hot air out, and let the cool air come in. Should work nicely for you.

I've never tried venting the cooler air from an AC into the grow area. I think this is what people do with some sealed room set ups.
