bubba kush

hi guys, i had a great run with gdp, but my last run i ran bubba kush and i was having problems "stacking" it, i had to top it 2x the 1st time i topped it it only gave me 2 or 3 tops, and when i topped it 2x it gave me a few more, but it was very hard to train it properly to "bush" out.

i'm feeding 6/9 gh with some epsom, at 5.6-5.8 ph, i originally vegged them under T5s in a tent then moved them into a flowering room. i was wondering if the T5 wasn't strong enough to properly top them off, (maybe that was why they didn't top off very well). they grew straight up and i couldn't get them to fill my canopy out the way my purps do.

does anyone know anything I could be doing wrong that has experience with bubba kush?

thanks

It will do what your describing, it doesnt stack like some other strains I've had. With the bubba you will get dense golfball like buds up and down the stem with a large cola at top obviously... the good thing is you dont end up with much larf like other strains with a lot of grow sites. Veg a for a week to 10days under the HPS before flowering it will make them sidebranch a lil more.

I was never able to get the bubba to yield much until i starting using a drip system and feeding multiple times a day. Every time I've lowered my plant number my yield has gone up. Now i do 4 plants per 3x3 tray and pull 4oz each in a 2 gallon pot.

you may have seen this article by Hundred Gram OZ... It changed my coco grow into something way more efficient and yieldy. I know it seems off topic a bit but this is what made my pre-98 bubba worth doing a whole room of because the yield increase from moving to the drip.
