I had great results last grow when I mixed in half of this coco with half ffof soil.. well it wasnt dialed in.. as expected.. and I was using general organics soil nutes.. Ran 6 ladies(all diff strains) in 7gals.. vegd em to 2' above soil and each had a 2' canopy..
Got 2.75 bows from a 1k and now Im hooked..

So, this botanicare bagged coco says fully rinsed, low salt content..
Anyone use this stuff? Really dont have to rinse?

Im a total noob to coco grows.. i got my hannah meter ready and know it should be about 5.7-5.9ph.. A good friend said I need to get canna a&b for good results and simplicity..
Im use to using calmg in my soil grows, can i use this or do I need to get something else? Any other nute type addatives I need?

Im going to be running my largest yielder, snowcap clone.. I plan to run 9 ladies all in 3gal smart pots, unless you guys think I should run in 5gal pots?
Plan to veg with 2gal hard pots.. veg and flower in coco..

Ive started reading here, but any help would be greatly appreciated as Im looking to hit 3 elbows from the 1k watter..

Thanks guys

I'm using the Botanicare Slacker moisture formula. I havnt had to really rinse it at all. I just fed it my mix at 1.2 Ec at a pH of 5.9 and got about 25% run off at 6.0-6.1. After that I usualy just go to about 10% for my run off and it's working quite well for me so far(hand watering here).
My first time using it this grow and havn't had any problems with it so far

You really shouldn't have to rinse any bagged coco. If you do, you shouldn't buy it again.

Be sure and fill a 1L pot with it, compress it down, get some tepid water and run that through til you get a cup of run off. Measure the run off EC and Ph. post back and tell me what it reads.

Any good one part nutrient is best for simplicity, and as good as any other for results.

Try floranova or cns17 if you're stateside.

In veg start at 0.8 of your base veg feed on top of your tap water, with nothing else. That'll usually be enough right through veg.

No additives are needed in coco if your base mix is good, except for a PK adjuster in flower.

Alright, I see a good bit of info on how to administer the canna a and b.. Ive been told by a few to get cannazyme and pk 13/14.. what do you guys think? when should I use the cannazyme and pk 13/14>>??

Thanks again, really appreciate the help!

I dont rinse Botinicare cocogro blocks. Just hydrate and go. Botinicare makes a good product. Never used the bagged but Id bet it is very good and clean.

IMO 3 gallons is the most I would use. You can use smaller containers with coco. I might even go down to 2gals. I put a layer of hydroton on the surface to slow evaporation with smart pots but it has been cool and the plants arent drinking much anyway.

I use Maxibloom @ 7g/gal throughout veg and flower. Its easy, inexpensive, user-friendly, uncomplicated....did I say easy? I feed every watering which is every day. No problems so far.

Have to pH up the MB as it brings my tap water down into the high 4's. I use Dynagro's "Protekt" as a pH up and silicon supplement.

I even cut cal-mag out of my regimen. My tap water is 60ppm but the MB provides enough for the plants.
