yea we got about 8 inches of pure powder ... then the temp dropped right down to 1f this morning ... kitchen sink hot water quit working ... took care of it asap before it broke any pipes ... wooohooo nice and warm and its all working .. knocks on wood

We have a warming trend going on. -4 yesterday, 2 this morning. It's funny, when I was working in Canada I stayed longer than I had anticipated and had to buy some warmer clothes. The Canucks were giving me a bad time about my poor investment because I would never be able to use my new touk when I got back to California. They couldn't believe it when I told them that we had more snow than they did.
I finally get to wear my winter clothes that been stored a long time . thankfully I saved em all the time living in so cal. my oilskin drover coat with wool insert can finally be worn yeehaw. no snow here but the mountains looking good. heres to a huge snowload and a great spring runoff. theres a lot of trout with my name on em. have lemon and butter and willing to hike for streamside meal. yeehaw

…It felt strange, after so many days below zero or in the single digits, I was actually excited by the forecast and the prospect of staying above 0 *F tonight.

Now, snow just makes me think about how much the cold hurts and worry about falling, lol…There’s a sheet of ice under all the snow, since it all started with rain here.
On the bright side, it sure is beautiful and a it’s a lot of fun driving around in the ol’ Subaru!

10 inches yesterday here in new jersey and an expected 4-9 tomorrow.
we got about 2-4 inches.... black ice... wow though lol just went sideways (thankgod) cause i was going strait into a ditch and through a sign at 20 mph with no chance of slowing down.... cranking my wheel and the cross road being wore down to cement only thing that saved me from a really bad morning, also thank god for no cars coming that way cause i would have tboned them or gotten tboned.....
