Air Injection Technology? See video!!

yeah - i posted a derivative idea off it in another thread. Planning on doing a side by side grow, trying air injection into soil on one pot (not the hydro/soil) and soil with no air injection on the 2nd pot - figure if i bed the round aeration "spyder' hose under some small lava rock, use the same "membrane" they supply with the kit to use to keep soil/silt from compacting down to the hose.

yeah, i bought one - that membrane isn't much, looks like the stuff sears sells for mechanics to put in the bottom of their tool box drawers to keep wrenches from sliding around. I'm a newbie at this but I'm thinking besides the O being good for the roots & soil, it'll help keep the soil from compacting (hopefully). I'm thinking to run it for a couple hours when the plants are watered and maybe 20-30 minutes daily on days between.

BTW - i didn't like the fact the pots are only available in soft white or clear - didn't think roots like light

some sort of bucket...comes with a tray and a res at the bottom, the soil goes on top of the little tray that has holes/slots in it, theres a res area beneath that. you water with a recirc drip and theres a bubbler in the bottom. theres a few threads about it, i just don't know what it's called off the top of my head, some japanese sounding shit. but its the same exact concept.

this guy sounds like a con artist trying to pimp these airpumps and bubble stones as some new grow method. all that air in the soil...retarded. if the entire medium isn't underwater then you don't need all that air, the soil already has air pockets in it. you would only need minimal air in the bottom for the roots sitting in the water.

Bokashi is fermented kitchen waste that will usually be composted or fed to the worms. This is like a hybrid between a hempy bucket and a bio box. The bio box s a very interesting idea in basically ramping up the bacteria and fungi in the soil mix and culturing a large colony of organisms to make nutrient uptake more readily availible. There is a page here if you search for biobox. From the looks of the forum results this has alot of potential.

AIT

I just built a AIT propagation tray with 36 sites and I'm 5 days in and we have nubs and roots. Tray also has a 7" cover and heating mat. Water temp 74, air temp 77, RH 93%, so far looks good.
