Deep Stoner Thoughts

What were we talking about?

I was just thinking about how we've gone from crude runes and pictographs carved in rock with other rocks to harnessing light itself to communicate the sum of man's knowledge. When you really consider what we've done it's pretty amazing. Maybe more amazing for how mundane we normally consider it. Too bad we are basically still the same monkeyboys we were when we used stone, just more sophisticated. Still ruled by the same reflexes, emotions, and motivations. Our evolutionary fight for dominance is too ingrained in our very DNA. That is why we can send probes to other planets and even deep space, but we can't manage our resources without ruining our home.

Then I was thinking maybe the human race is just the evolutionary stepping stone to the true master race of the earth . . . computer intelligence. Perhaps humans will learn to survive by transferring minds into android bodies. Maybe that transfer could allow us to leave behind all the garbage that makes us so awful. Perhaps the future is a sexless, emotionless, rational, logical existence. Paradise on earth. Man and computer merged at last.

Then I was thinking that if it was and Jim Kirk showed up, he'd probably say, "There's no sex?!? Some paradise"

Then he'd probably talk a couple of them into possessing him and Uhura so they could experience the sensation of emotions and sex. Plus, that way he'd finally get to nail Uhura.

Is it just me, or should some really smart television producer introduce the people from "American Pickers" to the people from "Hoarders?"

"Why should anyone believe the government is truly concerned for the betterment of it's peoples when they outlaw a substance (Pot) as harmful and dangerous even there is zero evidence to support that other then the danger of getting incarcerated because it's illegal and yet at the same time legalize, support and encourage two of the most harmful and dangerous substances man has ever consumed (tobacco and alcohol)? "--Hempcat

Indeed, that seems totally illogical.
Quite peculiar.
Not quite sane.
Pig ignorant.
With malice for all.

Or is it?

Well, if you also allow the fact that Cannabis heals, it starts to put a different spin on it.

Say, you find yourself on a planet with finite resources.
Say that you are a some sort of illuminatti.
In a position of control.

You are presented with a substance that people can grow in window boxes, that will heal damaged neurons, and put cancers into remission.
Now, think about the limited resources again.

It makes a certain Spock-like sense in that light.
Think ahead. Think hundreds of years ahead.

If entire generations, selfishly extend their unproductive years by another decade or two what kind of existence will our future generations suffer?

Which is the greater good?
I'm just sayin'.

I often ponder that, without a stoned thot.

It would be my hope, the oil would make the years more productive! Or, We'll have homes labeled "Gomerville" for the useless aged.

Ooops; SNF is just that.

With more people living longer the skeleton needs to be stronger and connective tissue. Not to mention the brain.

With age, stress is so much harder to handle...we'll need to use rso from birth..anti-aging, anti-stressful lives.
Nothing would get accomplished though.
Stress can fuel productivity, for some.
