hello fellow growers

is it better to keep the fans on only during lights on, or do some of you leave them on 24/7 for better growth and yield.
what have been your experiences ?
thanks.

Healthy plants are more productive plants.

Your plants definitely needs fresh air. They'll use up all the co2 in a sealed space just like we would use up all the oxygen. In my room the intake blows across the room, it exhausts through the lights. This is how I keep temps down. Different from a closed-loop system where the intake goes onto 1 light, the lights are daisy chained and are ducted to the exhaust. In which case, a separate intake/exhaust are needed to provide fresh air.

Currently my exhaust is shut off. Im in the NW corner of a basement and theres a cold draft from the door to the bulkhead (only about 90% on the way to sealed), so its off to bring temps up. Intake is still on and its strong enough to push enough hot air through the exhaust ducting to keep things from getting too hot.

IMO circ fans should always be on. Keeps temps even throughout the room, stiffens up branches to take the weight of the bud and if its humid you wouldn't want that air just 'hanging' on your plants.

As far as humidity goes, I would turn my exhaust back on in an effort to keep it down if it were climbing - regardless of the chilly temps I have now.

I am by no means an expert and I have to do whats going to work for me - still a newbie really. Just some things to get the ol' cranium cranking. Hope it helps.

Fans on 24/7 almost always, unless it's freezing.

No reason whatsoever to deprive your babies of fresh air and circulation.

If your room isn't the correct temps with fans on all the time something else is wrong.

my fans run 24/7. I lower the speed tho after lights off as not as much heat only moisture needs removed. if I was to leave fans off there is moisture buildup .

Circulating fan 24/7 all year. Exhaust fan 24/7 in summer but 10 minutes an hour in dry cold weather. These plants are not cramped.

circulating fan or fans 24/7, intake and exhaust on climate control, also using passive.

I'm running oscillating fans 24/7 but it is a small veg room and I'm getting leaf curl. I need to find weaker fans, I guess.

If you've got more than 1 turn them off and point the 1 or 2 at the ceiling. If the room is closed you should get plenty of air blowing around anyways w/o beating them to death with direct breeze.

That, or yeah.. smaller fans.
